Day 2 at Cereals Event was certainly a wet one! 🌧️

The weather may have tested everyone's resolve, but it didn't stop us having some great conversations about protecting machinery, tackling rural crime and helping farmers safeguard their valuable assets.

A highlight of the day was joining Richard from British Agricultural and Garden Machinery Association - BAGMA to visit a number of BAGMA members around the show. It was a fantastic opportunity to introduce VIN Chip, discuss the benefits of our theft deterrent and asset protection systems, and share details of the exclusive incentives now available to BAGMA members.

Events like Cereals are all about meeting people, sharing ideas and building relationships, so it was great to see so much interest in practical solutions that help keep machinery safe and traceable.

To top it all off, we enjoyed front-row seats for the brilliant Hawkstone Farmers Choir, fresh from their Britain's Got Talent success, who provided some much-needed entertainment after a very rainy day! 🎶

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a chat. If you'd like to learn more about protecting your machinery and equipment, we'd love to hear from you.

Day 1 at the Cereals EventCereals Event at Diddly Squat Farm Shop done ✔️

Thankfully, the weather stayed dry, which always helps at an outdoor event. It was great to catch up with familiar faces from across the agricultural sector and have some valuable conversations with farmers, contractors, landowners and machinery professionals throughout the day.

Rural crime was a major topic of discussion, with many visitors sharing concerns about machinery and vehicle theft and the impact it continues to have on rural businesses. We had some excellent conversations around theft prevention, asset identification and recovery, and how VIN Chip helps support farmers in protecting their valuable equipment.

It was also great to see our friends at CFMOTO UK showcasing their ATV range and supporting the agricultural community.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by the stand today. We’re looking forward to another busy day today.

We're looking forward to kicking off Cereals Event 2026 on Wednesday alongside DeterTech and Rural SafeGuard on Stand 440.

The latest NFU Mutual Rural Crime Report 2026 highlights why machinery security remains a growing priority for UK farmers. Agricultural vehicle theft claims rose by 18% to an estimated ÂŁ8.3 million, while the cost of quad bike and ATV theft increased by 31% to ÂŁ3.5 million. Livestock theft also rose by nearly 30%, reaching ÂŁ4.5 million.

These figures demonstrate the continuing impact rural crime has on farms, businesses and livelihoods across the UK.

At Cereals, we'll be showcasing how VIN Chip helps deter theft, identify stolen machinery and support recovery efforts through advanced forensic marking and asset identification technology.

If you're attending the event, come and see us on Stand 440 to learn how you can better protect your machinery and equipment.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Agricultural crime is becoming an increasing reality for farmers across the UK.

The theft of tractors, quad bikes, trailers and machinery continues to rise - impacting farms, businesses and rural communities nationwide.

That’s why DeterTech is proud to be co-exhibiting with Rural SafeGuard and VinChip at Cereals Event 2026.

Together, we’re helping build safer rural communities and protect livelihoods.

The countdown is on! đźšś

We’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones at Cereals 2026, from exhibitors to visitors alike. If you’re attending, stop by and say hello. Let’s talk machinery security, theft prevention and protecting what matters most.

See you there! đź‘‹

Agricultural crime in the UK is increasingly becoming a fact of life for British farmers.

The theft of agricultural machinery is one of the fastest growing rural crimes. Behind every stolen tractor, quad bike or trailer is a household left feeling unsafe and looking for trusted solutions to protect what matters.

At the Cereals Event 2026, Rural SafeGuard will be co-exhibiting with DeterTech and VIN CHIP, bringing proven expertise in rural and agricultural security.

DeterTech’s intelligence-led approach to crime prediction, site security and forensic marking is trusted by all 43 UK police forces. VIN Chip’s advanced UHF RFID theft detection and forensic marking technology has delivered a 90% reduction in caravan theft and is now helping protect agricultural machinery, trailers and rural vehicles across Britain.

Together, we are building smarter solutions to protect livelihoods and create safer rural communities.

If agricultural crime is affecting your farm, the conversation is happening at Stand 440.

We’re proud to continue supporting the fight against rural crime alongside National Rural Crime Network and partners across the UK.

Protecting farms, machinery and rural businesses takes collaboration, and together we can help deter theft, support recoveries and create safer rural communities.

We look forward to continuing the journey together. 🚜🌾

Supporting rural communities takes consistent, committed partners. VIN CHIP continues to play that role as our Associate Member in the fight against rural crime across the UK.

As a specialist in vehicle and theft identification, VIN Chip has spent 25 yrs developing a technology that protects rural farms and businesses. Their advanced RFID and asset marking solutions are helping to deter theft and recover stolen assets.

Quad bikes, trailers, tractors, and agricultural machinery remain among the most targeted assets by organised criminal groups. VinChip’s work gives rural communities a strong line of defense, making it easier for law enforcement to act.

Partnerships like this sit at the heart of what NRCN stands for. When specialist organisations bring their expertise and commitment to the network, the collective impact reaches further protecting farms, supporting recoveries, and making rural communities across the UK safer for everyone.

Strong words from Tim Passmore, Chair of the National Rural Crime Network, and a powerful reminder of what real collaboration looks like in practice.

“VIN Chip’s expertise in equipment security continues to play a vital role in helping the rural community protect what matters most. Their support of the NRCN and our 2026 conference is genuinely appreciated, and we value the difference they help us make nationwide.”

At VIN Chip, one of our guiding principles is to continually develop and refine our technology to stay one step ahead of the criminal fraternity. But innovation alone only goes so far, it’s partnerships like this, and platforms such as the National Rural Crime Network Annual Conference, that turn capability into real-world impact.

We’re proud to be part of a network that isn’t just talking about rural crime, but actively strengthening the response to it.

Caravan and motorhome theft just got a little harder.

On Monday, we delivered Caravan & Motorcaravan Identification Training with Sussex Police, from the classroom at Steyning Police Station to hands-on training at Gatewick Farm Storage.

As a Platinum CaSSOA site, Gatewick offered the ideal real-world environment, giving officers access to a wide range of caravans and motorhomes.

Big thanks to Will at Gatewick for the support, and to Sergeant Brett Holden for organising.

Stronger identification. Faster recovery. Harder for thieves to win.
