We help people to start their own business and support existing businesses to grow and develop. We've been supporting enterprise since 2007 and in that time we've helped over 1,700 people to start their own business in Northumberland. We've also helped existing businesses across the North East to create over 1,000 jobs with our funding and support programmes.

General awareness around Neurodiversity has increased significantly in recent years but there is still a lack of understanding in the Workplace of what it means and the benefits it can bring. A lack of knowledge can mean that employers are not getting the best out of their staff, limiting their recruitment options and also that they may not retain good quality staff who have different support needs.

Better Business Skills is back with a new series of fully funded Skills Development Sessions for pre-start or early stage business owners thanks to support from -east-combined-authority.
Available for North East residents aged 19+, these skills sessions are part of the fully funded Better Business Skills programme https://learnwithnbsl.org.uk/better-business-skills/

Over 100 pre-start or early stage business owners have already boosted their business skills and received one to one Mentoring support to get their business off to a successful start.
Our Business Start series includes:

• Mastering Time Management for Business Success – 14th October
Learn techniques to help prioritise your workload to save time and improve your business.
• Plan for Success – 15th October
Learn how to write and stick to a successful business plan (Vision & Values, Writing and Maintaining a Plan, SWOT Analysis)
• The Magic of Marketing – 4th November
Learn how to find customers and keep them (USPs, Market Research, Marketing Channels, Digital Marketing)

Each Session is delivered online from 9.30 to 12.30
