It's been a busy few weeks that I've barely had a chance to post an update! ☕️😅

June has been packed with some fantastic events, as well as keeping the roastery running smoothly, and I'd just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has stopped by for a coffee, supported us, and had a chat along the way. It really is great to hear such good feedback.

So far this month we've had the pleasure of serving at:

We're not slowing down quite yet! We'll be at the Ballater Farmers Market this weekend with plenty of coffee in stock.

☕ Roaring Stag Brewing Guide ☕

We've put together this brewing guide to help you get the very best from your coffee, whatever your preferred brewing method.

Remember, these recipes are intended as a starting point, not a strict set of rules. Coffee is personal, and some of the best cups come from experimenting with different brew ratios, grind sizes, water temperatures and brew times until you find what tastes best to you.

Whether you enjoy a rich espresso, a smooth cafetière, or a bright pour-over, don't be afraid to tweak things and make each brew your own.

After all, great coffee is all about finding your perfect brew.

Did somebody say free coffee 🤔

Today (Friday 15th May) we are offering a free filter coffee with every purchase made at the roastery. We are open 1000 - 1300 today ☕️

Today's coffee has been carefully selected by our roaster to showcase some of the brilliant coffee we do 💯 💪

Tuesday and we're open til 4!

It's coffee Cairngorm beans in our coffee machine this week, such a tasty cuppa with notes of cherries, jasmine and citrus fruits. ☕️

Chicken tikka mayo is the special this week, bacon, brie and cranberry has become a regular thing now! You can put the fillings of your choice in a bagel, panini, baguette, bread roll or even a ceoissant, just let us know when you come in. 😊

A quick look at what we have been up to the last few weeks 🦌 ☕️

It’s been a bit of a hectic spell in the roastery as we head into our busy season. Both roasters running flat out keeping our stockists, cafés, restaurants and online customers fuelled with fresh tasty coffee.

• 25th/26th April - we were at Bro Peter and his now Wife Erin's wedding Mar Lodge Estate National Nature Reserve NTS
• 3rd May - Rallye at the River in Crathes
• 9th/10th May - BHS Scotland for the 60th anniversary celebration ride at Balmoral

After a few teething issues, our new setup in the trailer if proving to be rather fantastic. We are getting out coffees even quicker than before, while still being able to focus on quality.

Big upgrade complete (almost) 🙌

We’ve given the trailer a full makeover and it’s now better than ever:

• Brand new flooring
• All mechanics underneath fully replaced
• Fresh new cladding
• Extra coffee machine for faster service
• New countertop
• Pretty much everything refreshed or replaced

All of this was completed in just 2 weeks from start to finish 💪

A lot of hard work has gone into this and we’re buzzing with how it’s turned out. It’s not just about looks either — it’s going to help us serve you quicker and better than before ☕️

Huge thanks to everyone who helped along the way — couldn’t have done it without you 🙌

Last roast of the day 🔥☕️

Nothing beats that final batch heading out before the weekend – fresh, bold, and ready to be enjoyed. The roaster’s cooling down, the smell of coffee still hanging in the air, and another week done right.

If you’ve got a bag coming your way, you’re in for a treat. If not… now’s the time to fix that 😉

For the decaf lovers, some great news. The green beans have finally landed and are currently on the road to us now ☕️
