My mental support officer is not well. I’ve taken him to the vets (twice) cooked him chicken and am giving him lots of hugs and cuddles. When a member of the team feels rubbish or isn’t well, a welfare call to check in with them goes a long way. Early intervention to determine if any support is needed can also help them get back on their feet sooner. Create a work place culture that genuinely cares, I strongly believe that kindness in leadership is a strength.
