Yesterday saw us travelling down the A35 to Melplash show.
Only one horse on board today our girl Radford Cilla. Last time we attended this show was nearly 30 years ago doing a musical drive with Radford Heavy Horse Display team.
What a great day we had ,and not a drop of rain

Congratulations to Charlotte Webb on taking reserve champion with the gorgeous Charlie.

Definitely a show to put on our calendar for next year.

Another week,another show, another Heavy Horse Village.
Gillingham and Shaftesbury show 2026.
Thankyou to all those that once again made our village a success 🙌 ,it goes without saying that all your hard work is really appreciated 👏,
Special shout out to Charlotte Webb and Tom Beech for your true professionalism when carrying on your fantastic display in a torrential rain 🌧 storm.
It wouldn't be right for us a Radford Shires to do a post and not mention our Special girls
Radford Cilla and Radford Tina, cilla once again doing us proud by taking top spot in the mare class 👏 and going on to be Heavy Horse champion 🏆.
Radford Tina what can I say about this little lady, taking 2nd in yearling and 2 year old class, but better than that ,she behaved absolutely perfectly not only in her showing class but also when making her debut in meeting and greeting the public (no pictures unfortunately of our girls in show ring this week )

New Forest show 2026.
A busy show for us this year ,on top of running The Heavy Horse village we also provide stable management and lorry parking which this year was a challenge due to extra passport and animal checks but we all survived the week,
On top of all this we found time to show our horses or should I say Horse, Unfortunately Radford Cilla was taken poorly so we pulled her from the mare class .
So it was left for Yearling Radford Tina to bring home the red rosette.🐎🥇

Royal three counties show 2026, spent a lovely couple of days at this show ,chuffed to bits with Radford Cilla once again standing 3rd in barren mare class and 4th in hoys qualifier ,she held her own amongst some of the top horses on the show circuit, congratulations to the Fountain family on taking top slot and hoys ticket .

Bath and West 2026.

Our main focus this year was yearling Radford Tina first appearance in the show ring and we must say ,she took everything in her stride ,and taking first place,just a shame she was the only one in her class, looking forward to having her out in the future and letting Big sister Radford Cilla taking a back seat even though she did keep her company this weekend and took a very respectful 2nd place in the mare class amongst good company, so a good 👍 couple of days all round,and thankyou ☺️ to Charlie Charles-Hughes for all your help ,just like the old days working together .
