As well as providing a new full fibre Gigabit broadband connection, we also deployed a full UniFi WiFi, network and gate access control solution with ANPR.

With the Ballymoney Show fast approaching (Fri 5th - Sat 6th June) we were delighted we could help the showgrounds bring a full fibre connection to the site in good time for the show taking place 🐮🚜🐴🐑

The original lead time was going to be cutting it fine, so we had a chat with our partners at BT Wholesale and were able to bring the date forward 👏

Back to a repeat customer this week, and this one was a serious upgrade 🔥

Another full fibre gigabit connection now live in Castlewellan.

As our client lives in a fairly rural location, he’s had to make do with slow copper broadband for a long time.

When he reached out a while ago, we explained what it is we do here and what sets us apart, he decided to put his full trust in the Netii Broadband team.

We worked closely with our client on the run up to the installation date to make sure that the fibre would be run in accessible underground ducting which went straight from the bottom of the fibre pole on the road, right into the house. We also arranged for another piece of ducting to be installed from the fibre point of entry so the fibre cable could be pulled all the way into the house and the ONT fitted right next to our comms cabinet. All of this was done without issue thanks to the planning 👏🏻

We then installed a full home UniFi WiFi and network solution throughout the property using the new gigabit broadband connection, which included 5 WiFi access points.

These last few days we’ve been working away smack bang in the centre of Belfast.

Unfortunately by the time our client had made contact with us, the order for a symmetrical Gigabit DIA ( Leased Line ) connection had already been placed with another provider so Netii Broadband narrowly missed out on that one however it didn’t stop us coming in to help set the DIA connection up, install a Starlink for a secondary back up connection and make sense of the existing network that was left by the previous tenants and set a new one up.

We are finished with this one for now but we will be back asap to install a UniFi CCTV and door access solution. We will also be installing a secondary UniFi Dream Machine to work alongside the one installed today which will act in shadow mode to provide High Availability ( HA ) for this network.

HA aims to keep networks operational and accessible with minimal downtime incase there is a hardware fault or a software glitch on the primary router. Doing this with a secondary router operating in shadow mode means that if the primary router failed due to a hardware fault, the secondary router operating in shadow mode will take over instantly.

With a secondary back up broadband connection AND a secondary router solution in place, we can possibly go wrong?!
