PB Welder Training contracted to weld a number of PQR tests to ASME IX. Plates are 20mm thick PNo4 and PNo5 material, and are being welding by GTAW and SMAW processes. 150°C preheat applied as per customer pWPS requirements. Welding consumables were supplied by Bohler and were 2.25% Chrome. The well equipped facility at WQ Inspection & Certification Ltd was used and their examiner were on site to witness and record all welding parameters and variables., to enable UKAS accredited and RTPO UK Pressure Systems compliant certificates to be issued.

PB Welder Training were recently contacted to provide a welder to weld a WPQR to BS EN ISO 15614-1:2017+A1:2019 Level 2 requirements. The customer delivered all material and consumables to our test facility along with required certificates and a pWPS was supplied detailing welding parameters required. The welding examiners from WQ Inspection and Certification were contracted to witness and verify the welding and carry out all of the required NDT and destructive tests. UKAS accredited Inspection Body certificates were issued upon acceptable results. Another satisfied and happy customer.
