Sharing intelligence and supporting fellow city centre businesses is a key part of being a member of City Centre Beat.

Our bi-weekly intelligence briefings are a brilliant opportunity to come together with security teams, the police, the BID Patrol team and fellow business representatives to share updates, discuss current city centre issues and help members stay informed.

The next briefing is being held at the BID HQ on Bank Street on Thursday 30th July. All members welcome.

Welcome to the 3 Admiral Casinos (Queensgate, Broadway and Westgate) that have become the latest businesses to become a City Centre Beat member!

We look forward to helping them keep their staff and customers safe with the CCB Digital Radios that link into the Police and CCTV, as well as sharing intelligence via the SENTRYSIS Intelligence App.

Our members work together, along with our support partners to help reduce crime and antisocial behaviours in the city centre.

Bradford BID has teamed up with West Yorkshire Police to promote the ‘Report It Campaign’ taking place this week, aimed at improving the reporting of non-emergency crime and anti-social behaviour across the city centre.

The campaign encourages businesses, residents and visitors to report incidents such as shop theft, disorder and nuisance behaviour via the 101 non-emergency number or through West Yorkshire Police’s online reporting system.

As part of the campaign, the BID Patrol Team will be visiting city centre businesses to distribute leaflets and speak directly with retailers and staff to raise awareness of how and when to report incidents.

• Non-emergency incidents: Call 101
• Online: Visit www.westyorkshire.police.uk/report-it or scan the QR code on campaign leaflets
• Emergencies: Always call 999

Our weekly CCB Crime intelligence Briefing was held today in the Kirkgate Shopping Centre.

Attended by Police officers, PCSOs , Bradford BID Patrol Officers and Broadway shopping centre security, it's a great opportunity to share intelligence and any issues arising in the city centre.

Exciting news!

Bradford BID have been announced as a finalist in the National BID Awards in the Security & Safety Drive category.

We believe that a safe, secure, and welcoming city centre is fundamental to economic growth, community pride, and visitor satisfaction.

Safety and security have emerged as defining pillars of our work.
A few of the activities over the last 12 months have included: introducing the BID patrol team, launching the 24/7 Command and Intelligence Centre, strengthening the ongoing collaboration and support with partners including Bradford Business Crime Partnership City Centre Beat, West Yorkshire Police and Bradford Council, facilitating the rollout of bodycams for businesses to collect evidence and protect staff, working with partners to achieve Purple Flag status and providing more free training courses for BID members.

There's still lots to do, but we're committed to making Bradford city centre a place where everyone, including residents, businesses, and visitors, feel confident, protected, and inspired to spend more time.

It's been a really productive Safer Business Action Week here at CCB!

🤝We're delighted to welcome the new Footasylum store at Forster Square as a member! This provides the team with a radio and access to SENTRYSIS to help reduce crime and share intelligence with other members.

👥Several Street Briefings have been hosted, including one in The Broadway Bradford with Broadway staff, Bradford BID Patrol officers and members of staff from the New Look store.

💻It's been positive to see a number of new logins this week to SENTRYSIS as a result of the Safer Business Action Week activity.

This week is Safer Business Action Week.

We'll be hosting meet ups, training and intel sharing opportunities for our members, including:

🚨Setting the Top 5 offenders in the city centre and putting them on SENTRYSIS in Poster Form
🚨Alongside the regular Thursday intel briefing, we'll host an e-briefing (Our Usual Briefing for publication on our intel system
🚨Street Briefings will take place on Thursday Afternoon in The Broadway and over at Forster Square
🚨CCB Manager, Steve Baker will be visiting members to talk about crime issues, radio use and use of SENTRYSIS
🚨Steve will also perform radio checks and radio training to encourage confident use of the radio system.

We continue to work closely with the Police, the BID team and Patrol officers and Council wardens, alongside our member businesses to help make our city centre safe and welcoming. We can only do this by working together.
