First day back after a absolutely LUSH holiday in Greece ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท

What a lovely day spent in kingsbridge.

Perry Lane Travel and I Co work together on a monthly basis but today we took the day out, it is the holidays after all. Linda and I have known eachother for years, and met through our work in the โ€œCorpโ€ world.

Along her lovely daughter, who I have watched grow up into a stunning young lady came along too. I just need to work my best price on the book she beat me to! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

With lunch at The Crabshell Inn, Kingsbridge ๐Ÿ˜‹

One more day and Iโ€™m holibubs for a week.

Tomorrow is the day I tie up any Lose end work wise and get my eyebrows done with the lovely Donna Chic Boutique Hair & Beauty Salon ๐Ÿ˜

It sounds small, but it cuts down on the constant low-level interruption that makes inboxes feel unmanageable in the first place.

The most common social media mistake I see isn't a lack of effort, it's a lack of consistency.

A brilliant post today followed by three weeks of silence does less for a business than a simple, steady rhythm.

That's exactly why I work from a content calendar with clients: one anchor idea a week, adapted properly for each platform, so nothing relies on finding motivation on a Tuesday afternoon.

Social media is one of those tasks that feels like it should take five minutes and somehow eats an entire afternoon.

Choosing the image, writing the caption, second-guessing the caption, finding the right hashtags... it adds up fast, especially when it's competing with actual client work.

This week I'm talking about what consistent social media management actually looks like, and why "just post more" isn't the fix most business owners think it is.

That's a wrap on inbox week.

Whether it's an ongoing business system or a one-off personal declutter, the principle is the same: a bit of structure turns overwhelm into something manageable.

If your inbox is the thing you keep meaning to sort out, I've written a full guide on my website, link in the comments, or you're welcome to book a free discovery call and we'll talk through what it could look like for you.

One of the most common things I hear from clients after a few weeks of having their inbox managed:

"I didn't realise how much headspace it was taking up."

It's a specific kind of low-grade stress, knowing your inbox is a mess and you're "supposed to deal with it." Clearing that weight off has a knock-on effect on everything else, decision-making, focus, even how people show up in client calls.

It's a small task with a genuinely outsized impact.

Something people don't always realise: inbox management isn't only for businesses drowning in enquiries.

I know several VAs, myself included, who've helped someone sort out a personal inbox that's spiralled into thousands of unread messages and lost documents.

This tends to be a one-off project rather than ongoing support: unsubscribing from what's no longer needed, filing away what matters, and leaving you with a proper clean slate.

If that's been on your "one day I'll sort it" list, it doesn't need to be a big commitment.

Inbox management isnโ€™t just โ€œchecking your email.โ€

Itโ€™s a proper system: sorting by priority, flagging whatโ€™s time-sensitive, filing or deleting the rest, and replying on your behalf where needed.

Clients tell me it consistently saves them an hour or more a day, time that goes straight back into the parts of the business only they can do.

If your inbox is running you rather than the other way round, this is usually where I start.

Ps this is my reminder to sort my screen out ๐Ÿ˜‚

Loading ready to finish a project for my client at 08:36am so I can then go out to the Yealmpton Show with my family and support local businesses and charities.

How are you managing your diary in the holidays?

And yes thatโ€™s a golf R on my screen saver ๐Ÿš˜
