Was asked to take a look at a 24 year old technics cd .player.CD tray not opening just screeching.
The motor bushings were seized,managed to find a motor from a donor cd player in the shed.
This motor was not pcb mounted so had to wire the leads onto the circuit board
All working fine now 😁😀

Got the first few bits today to build an allstar node.Got the software installed on the raspberry pi..just waiting for the other bits and then can modify the sound card and fit the baofeng 888s

Finished servicing the DJ mixer repaired the broken toggle switches on the effect loop.
Stripped down and cleaned all the gunk out of the sliders and crossfader.

Carver fan master 5500 heater in our caravan was tripping electric.Fault traced to heating element had rusted and cracked.
Once the fire was eventually removed from its location I could test the elements with my Megger. Carver don't exist anymore but managed to find aftermarket elements on line. Removal involved drilling out the mounting rivets and disconnecting the wiring...bit of a pain but not a major problem. I checked out the wiring and control box while I was at it. Now nice and warm running on mains..still need to try it on gas and get it safety checked before using it as had to disconnect gas pipe to remove fire

Nintendo switch joypad replacements fitted and working ..no more drift during game play

Lg TV actually set on fire due to faulty backlight. Never seen this before hopefully I can repair the backlight strip as all the other LEDs test ok .This is another good reason to unplug you set when not watching it.

Finally got a few minutes to look at the mig welder. New relay ordered and fitted. Pcb transformer burnt out so retro fitted an external one from my spares box. We now have power to the board but still waiting for some switching transistors to arrive.

Mig welder repair. No wire feed and no power to control board.
Wire feed relay was damaged and on board 24v transformer open circuit. I replaced the relay and fitted a new external transformer so the board now has power. Still waiting for some switching transistors to arrive
