I was not expecting this answer from Nikita Gill.

I got to speak to her for season 1 of the podcast and I still think about what she said.

We were talking about purpose, specifically what her central character, Hekate’s purpose was and how she finds it over the course of the book.

So I asked Nikita what her purpose was.

I absolutely loved her answer. I think it’s very Kali and Hekate-coded: fierce but tender goddess energy!

I feel like we need a little bit more of that energy in the world right now.

Love these wise words from best-selling author, Jennifer Saint. It’s a pep talk I need.

There’s no way round it: you just need to get words on the page.

I also like what she says about the unexpected emerging. You just need to put self-doubt, fear of criticism, and the pressure to get it right to one side. Just write.
