I think business language has become very extreme lately.

A difficult week means you’re burnt out.

A slower month means you’ve fallen behind.

Feeling unsure becomes proof that you’re doing everything wrong.

Sometimes things are just messy for a minute.

Your brain maybe tired because you’ve been trying to hold too many decisions all at once.

You’re staring at the same task for too long.

They’ll call it procrastination.

Sometimes you just need another pair of eyes on your business.

That’s a big part of why I created the Written Business Reviews by Email.

Not to tear everything apart and rebuild it.

More to help untangle what’s already there, work out what needs your attention first, and make things feel manageable again.

You fill everything out in your own time, send it over by email, and I go through the business carefully before sending back detailed feedback, observations, and next steps.

Sometimes support doesn’t need to feel intense.

Sometimes you just need help finding your footing again.

Your brain may be tired because you’ve been trying to hold too many decisions all at once.

I always feel like I get stuck in one spot and then spend the whole night trying to awkwardly twist myself back out again, but I’ve somehow managed to hurt my knee twice now doing it. ( I am currently not at home as I am caring for a relative, so it is not like my bed at home. )

Honestly, it got me thinking how similar that feeling is to being stuck in business for too long.

Just staying in the same thinking position for so long that eventually even trying to move forward starts feeling uncomfortable.

I think a lot of people are carrying businesses that don’t need tearing apart. They just need help getting unstuck without trying to force themselves through it alone.

That’s a big part of why I created the Written Business Reviews by Email. No calls, just a form to fill out, and I will take a deep dive look at your business as a whole and email you back with thoughts, observations, next steps, and another pair of eyes on everything you’ve been trying to carry alone.

Sometimes you need another perspective before you can move again.

Sometimes you don’t need another big plan.

You just need help working out what makes sense from here.

When setting up my business, I just wanted someone to tell me what the next steps were. Not spend hours and hours on research and master classes. I was just looking for what the next step was, that was all.

Because after a while, everything starts feeling important at the same time.

The website.
The pricing.
The bio.
The post you still haven’t finished.
The thing sitting in your notes app that made sense three days ago and now somehow doesn’t.

I found that this part was not really being talked about. It was all around scaling, growing, and showing up, but what about the messy part before all of this?

Just how much mental energy goes into trying to work out what needs your attention first?

I used to spend so much time circling the same thoughts. Self doubts and frustration were higher than Mount Everest.

Should I change this?
Leave that?
Focus on this first?
Am I even explaining what I do properly?

That’s a big part of why I created the Written Business Reviews. To help find your next steps. move freely and forward. Leave behind the frustrations and circling around tasks.

They’re done by email, so you can take your time filling everything out without trying to squeeze your whole business into one conversation.

There are 3 packages to choose from. I go through it all carefully before sending back detailed feedback, observations, and next steps you can come back to afterwards.

Sometimes the hardest part is trying to carry every decision alone

You just need help working out what makes sense from here.

The best way to take a look is to find the link in the bio or send me a message, and I will send the link directly to you.

I bought four Cadbury’s Creme Eggs from a petrol station the other day.

First problem.

£1.20 for a Creme Egg that’s shrunk so much over the years you practically need a magnifying glass to find it. 😂

Second problem.

They tasted wrong.

Not off.
Not mouldy.

But like, they’d been left out too long, so they had that stale, not-so-nice taste.

Then later that week, I bought another one somewhere else, and it tasted completely different.

Same product. Completely different experience. That got me thinking about business support.

Sometimes it’s not about whether something is good or bad.

It’s about whether it fits your life. Because not everybody has time to sit on calls.

Sometimes you’re clock watching.
Waiting for a shopping delivery.
Picking the kids up from school.
Heading out to help family.
Trying to fit business around work, life and everything else going on behind the scenes.

You just want somebody to review your website, offers, social media or business direction, give honest outside feedback, and help you work out what to focus on next.

That’s exactly why I’ve introduced my Done-For-You Business Feedback Review packages.

You fill out a short review form in your own time, send everything over, and receive written business feedback by email with observations, recommendations and suggested next steps.

No rushing.
No pressure to think of everything on the spot.

Depending on the package picked, this can help strengthen what's already working, spot the gaps, and identify what could be holding back your business without you realising it.

There are currently three review options available, depending on the level of depth and detail you’d like.

What a strange and rough week it’s been.

Losing a dog changes the atmosphere of a house in a way I don’t think you fully understand until it happens. Everything feels quieter, slightly off, and out of rhythm for a while.

At the same time, life and business still keep moving. There were calls to organise, profiles to update, ideas to rethink, and the usual moments of wondering if everything is coming together the way it’s meant to.

I think this week reminded me that business is never really separate from life. The way we feel affects how we think, work, decide, and show up, even when we try to push through it.

So this week has been slower, more reflective, a little messy in places, but also strangely grounding at the same time.

Anyway, onwards into a new week.

Last summer, I pulled everything out.

Notes, plans, post-it notes, old to-do lists, and ideas I’d written down anywhere I could.

All of it ended up spread across the table. I remember thinking I’ve just got to sort this out properly, and it will finally make sense. So I started going through it, trying to organise it. It became so overwhelming that in the end I just decided I’m going to throw it in the bin.

So I did.

Then I realised I couldn’t just sit there and try to piece it back together on my own again.

So I had a call with someone and just talked it all through. What I had, what I was trying to do, what was there already. We worked from that, not by adding more, just looking at what was already in front of me and building it into something that made sense.

Have you found yourself trying to sort it all out on your own like that? Thinking that if you just organise it better, it’ll finally click, but it never quite does.

It’s not always about getting it all out and sorting it.

It’s usually the part people try to figure out on their own for far too long.
Comment “Flourish” if you’re ready to break the cycle.

I put the plan in place and started doing what I thought I needed to do. But something still felt off. I started noticing it wasn’t just me.

Other women are doing the same thing. Following the steps. Trying to make it work. But no one was really saying it out loud.

It’s like we all just get on with it and assume we’re supposed to figure it out on our own. Keep going. Keep pushing. Keep trying to make it work.

Until something shifts.

For me, it was a conversation. Someone pointing out things I hadn’t really seen before.

Too many offers. Trying to speak to everyone. Not really clear on who I actually wanted to work with.

That’s when it clicked. It wasn’t the plan. It was everything I was building it on.

If you’re sitting there trying to make it all work and it’s still not quite coming together, you don’t have to keep doing it on your own. Go to the link in my bio.

It’s a really beautiful, warm, sunny morning, and I know I should be going outside for a walk round the block.

Instead, I’m sat in the corner of the living room with my laptop open, coffee next to me, staring at a to-do list I wrote last night.

It did make sense when I wrote it.

Now parts of it just don’t.

How many times have you sat down to start your day and realised you’re not actually sure what your next step is meant to be?

You’ve got the plans, the notes, the ideas but none of it is really lining up anymore.

So you go back over it.

Move things around. Change bits. Start another version that feels like it might finally be clearer.

Now you’re still sat there.

Same place. Same question.

What am I actually supposed to be doing here?

It’s not a bad thing. I see so many people doing the same.

But it doesn’t mean you have to keep going round it on your own.

There is a way to sit down with your business and actually know what you’re doing with it, without having to figure it out over and over again or all alone.

If you want help getting to that point, head to the link in my bio.

You’ll see step-by-step plans, strategies, ways to grow your business, get visible, make sales.

They work.

Just not for the stage a lot of people are actually at.

So you end up following it, thinking you’re doing what you’re meant to do.

When it doesn’t work, you assume it’s you.

That you’ve missed something. Done it wrong. Not tried hard enough.

But the real issue is a lot simpler than that.

You’ve been given the next step before the first part is fully there.

Nothing really works properly when it’s built like that.

That’s the bit that doesn’t get talked about enough.

If you’re in that place with your business, start there.

If you want help getting that part in place, you can find the details in my bio or comment Flourish, and I will send you the link
