☕ Calling All Entertainers, Groups & Activity Providers ☕

We are looking to hear from local entertainers, performers, clubs, organisations, or community groups who may be able to support one of our weekly Age & Dementia friendly coffee mornings, held every Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

These coffee mornings are a safe, and heart-warming space for those who attend, welcoming around around 40 guests each week. They offer companionship, laughter, and connection for people who may otherwise feel isolated — and our guests absolutely love it ❤️

We are always keen to add:
🎶 Light entertainment or music
🎨 Crafts or creative activities
🧠 Engaging activities
🤝 Anything that promotes wellbeing, connection, and enjoyment

It could even be something we haven’t thought of yet!

All refreshments and any activities provided are free of charge, and the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and supportive.

If you are part of a group, club, organisation, or perform individually and feel you could contribute in any way, we would love to hear from you.

🎄November and December have been super busy. Weekly visits to Theatre Clwyd with Arts from the Armchair on a Monday, where we sing and have enjoyed making Christmas decorations.
Tuesdays we visit The Women’s room in Rhydymwym with visits from Linda Kinsey (my old art teacher) and this week we made Christmas arrangements.
A wonderful trip on The Floating Grace for Christmas dinner with Holywell Age Friendly/ Dementia friendly and Thursdays Flint Town Council / Flint town hall for singing with the lovely Ellie Grace Roberts for Remembrance Day and local school Children this week sining carols 🎄🎄🎄

A busy day today.. first visit was supporting one of my lovely ladies with her food and essentials shopping at Lidl and Tesco followed by a change around of new bedding and curtains in her bedroom 🥰. Next visit was a trip with another lovely lady down to . The fabulous ladies there gave us a lovely quiet table where we enjoyed a pot of tea followed by a stroll around the delightful shop. Looking forward to being back there on November 1st as it’s their 40th birthday with lots of offers and activities planned 🎈

Join us at Flint Town Hall every Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon for our friendly Community Coffee Morning! 🏛️

🍰 All refreshments are FREE – everyone’s welcome, whether you come on your own, with friends, or as part of a group. We’re a warm and welcoming bunch with plenty of regulars… but we’d love to see some new faces too! 😊

🥗 As a Well-Fed Hub, you can order and collect healthy, nutritious meals from us each week.

🧰 Plus, once a month, the last Wednesday in the month (except December) - we’re joined by the Repair Café 🔧 (fixing household items) and the Flintshire Digital Squad 💻 (helping with IT, mobile, and online issues) – all completely free of charge!

Pop in, have a cuppa, a chat, and connect with your community. ❤️

Today I was on photo duty as our very special and lovely Sue is quite unwell. I hope everyone is ok with me posting these as I can’t post directly on the group and I think I checked with everyone they were ok with me posting on my page. We had a wonderful turnout for the Age and Dementia coffee morning (and Holywell Age Friendly/ Dementia friendly ) Flint Town Council and thank you Dave for the great songs to sing a long to.
Get well soon Sue as we all miss you so much xx
