✨ What a night to remember at the South West Care Awards! ✨

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the South West Care Awards, celebrating the incredible people who are at the heart of the care delivered across the South West. 💜

It was such a fantastic evening, not only celebrating the amazing work happening across our sector, but also catching up with our neighbours at Visiting Angels South Devon and sharing a table with some lovely ladies from Town and County Care Services, who are also based in Bude! 🥰

But the celebrations didn’t stop there… 🏆

We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly proud to have been finalists for THREE awards and to have come home with the Special Commendation for Outstanding Care Provider of the Year! 🎉👏

To achieve this in just over 12 months is something truly special, and it reflects the passion, dedication and compassion that goes into everything we do.

A huge THANK YOU to every single member of our amazing team, our wonderful clients, and their families and friends. 💜 Your trust, support and commitment mean the world to us, and this achievement belongs to all of you.

We’re so proud of how far Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall has come in such a short space of time, and this is only the beginning!

💜 Celebrating Vicky – Our Key Player of the Year! 💜

Today, we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank our wonderful Field Care Supervisor, Vicky, for everything she does for Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall. 👏✨

Since we opened our doors last August, we could never have imagined just how quickly things would grow. We’ve been busy from day one, working hard to provide the very best care and support to our clients and their families. It wasn’t long before we realised we needed some extra support, and that’s when Vicky joined our team. 💜

What a difference she has made! Vicky has worked tirelessly alongside us, becoming the calm in the storm of our busy office. She’s taken on new challenges, embraced new roles and thrown herself into every opportunity with such dedication and enthusiasm. From supporting new clients and welcoming new caregivers to delivering training and helping our team grow, Vicky truly puts her heart into everything she does.

As part of the Visiting Angels Annual Conference, we have the opportunity to nominate members of our team who go above and beyond, and this year, it gives us enormous pride to nominate Vicky for Key Player of the Year for Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall! 🏆💜

And the best part? Vicky gets to join us at this year’s Visiting Angels Annual Conference in Manchester, where we can celebrate her achievements together! 🎉🥂 It’s a wonderful opportunity to recognise all her hard work and dedication and to show her just how much she means to us and our team.

Vicky, your commitment, flexibility and unwavering support mean more than words can say. You’ve been such an important part of our journey so far, and we honestly couldn’t thank you enough for everything you do.

Here at Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall, we’re absolutely thrilled and feel incredibly privileged to have been named finalists in THREE categories! 🏆💛

We’re really looking forward to what promises to be a fantastic evening, celebrating alongside so many amazing local care providers who have also been nominated and shortlisted. It’s wonderful to see so much incredible work, passion and dedication being recognised across the care sector. ❤️

We’re especially excited to be sharing the evening with our neighbours at Visiting Angels South Devon, who are also finalists! 🥂✨

😇💜 Happy 1-Year Angel Anniversary, Jude! 💜😇

Today at Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall, we’re celebrating a very special milestone for our lovely Jude! 🎉

Jude was one of our very first original Angels, and over the last 12 months, she has blossomed into an absolutely beautiful carer. 🥰 Watching her grow and develop into the wonderful Angel she is today has been such a pleasure, and we couldn’t be prouder of her!

To celebrate her first Angel anniversary, Jude has been presented with a lovely gift as a small thank you for everything she does. 🎁💐

But that’s not all! Jude has also received her Bronze Angel Award 🥉😇, which comes with a fantastic £150 car bonus and a 5% salary increase! A well-deserved recognition of her hard work, dedication and the compassion she brings to her role every single day. ❤️

Well done, Jude, and thank you for simply being YOU! 🥰 Your kindness, commitment and caring nature make such a difference, and we’re so lucky to have you as part of our Visiting Angels family.

We’re always so busy being busy that we almost never get around to sitting down together for our Monday morning meeting! 🙈

So today, I bought the pastries, made the coffees, and made sure we actually sat down and did it properly! 🥐☕✨

A chance to plan the week ahead, catch up on weekend feedback, go through handovers, and make sure we’re all on the same page ready for another busy week!

Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make the biggest difference. ❤️ Taking that little bit of time to communicate, share updates, and get organised sets us up for a much better week ahead!

Here’s to a productive week across North Devon & Cornwall! 💪🏼✨

🎉 Celebrating a very special lady! 🎉

This week, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of celebrating one of our lovely clients, Dorothy, who turned an incredible 103 years young! 🥳💗

Dorothy, who spent part of her working life as a teacher, gave us an idea…. We got in touch with the local primary school to ask if the children might like to make her a birthday card. And what a wonderful surprise they created! 🥰 Their thoughtful gesture truly made her day, and we’re so grateful for the time, effort and kindness that went into making it so special.

A very happy 103rd birthday, Dorothy! 🎂💐

A huge thank you to all the wonderful children and teachers at Hartland Primary School for being part of Dorothy’s special day. Your kindness brought so much joy, and we hope to take Dorothy to visit the school soon so she can say thank you in person and meet the lovely children who helped make her beautiful card. ❤️

At Visiting Angels North Devon & Cornwall, we love celebrating the wonderful things happening in our local communities and sharing moments that remind us how much a little kindness can mean.

🌟 Congratulations on achieving your Bronze Angel Award, Ed! 🌟

This special award is presented to our amazing caregivers after one year of service, as a thank you for their dedication, commitment and all the wonderful care they provide.

And what comes with it? Not only a fabulous certificate and our Bronze Angel Wing badge, but also a little extra recognition for reaching this important milestone. 💙

At one year of service, our caregivers receive a £150 car bonus and a 5% pay increase.

Retention of our caregivers is something we work really hard to achieve because we genuinely appreciate each and every one of them. Keeping our amazing team means keeping changes to a minimum for our clients, allowing them to build strong, trusting relationships with the people who care for them.

Of course, we completely understand that opportunities arise and circumstances change, and sometimes moving on is unavoidable. However, recognising and rewarding length of service is incredibly important to us.

Congratulations again, Ed! 🎉
