Through Our Hands: Charity Art & Craft Exhibition & Sale 🎨

We’re really pleased to be joining Number 72 for a special community art and craft exhibition at Sudbury Town Hall on Saturday 26th September, from 10am to 3pm.

The exhibition will showcase original artwork and crafts created by people who have received support through our charities, with pieces available to purchase on the day.

There will also be a cake stall and refreshments, and the event will be officially opened by the Mayor of Sudbury.

Entry is by donation and everyone is welcome.

Money raised through sales and donations will support Number 72 and The Kernos Centre, helping us continue providing emotional wellbeing support within our local community.

Please come along, have a browse, enjoy some cake and support two local charities. We’d love to see you there! 🎨🍰

Today we stood alongside many others at the Save The Dogs UK protest outside MBR Acres.

For those who may not know, MBR Acres breeds beagles specifically for use in animal testing. Around 2,000 dogs are bred there each year before being sent to laboratories.

As science advances, many researchers and organisations are now investing in alternatives such as human cell testing, organ-on-a-chip technology, and AI-assisted research. These methods can often provide results that are more relevant to humans while reducing the need for animals in research.

We believe the future of science should be both innovative and compassionate.

This isn’t about being anti-science. It’s about supporting the development and adoption of modern alternatives that reduce animal suffering whilst continuing to advance medical research.

Today we stood for the beagles who cannot speak for themselves.

A society is often judged by how it treats its most vulnerable. For us, that includes animals.

Just bought Natalie Brooks’ book and yes, I got both the physical copy and the audiobook

I already know this is going to be one of those books that so many dyslexic adults will relate to, learn from, and feel seen by.

Natalie brings so much knowledge, honesty, and understanding to conversations around dyslexia, and I genuinely think anyone connected to dyslexia should give this a read (or a listen!).

As a dyslexic adult myself, seeing books like this published feels really important.
