Pete, the Handyman, Garden & Building Maintenance

Pete, the Handyman, Garden & Building Maintenance Day to day maintenance on houses and gardens, other services and products available. I have 36 years experience in carpentry/joinery and restoration.

Very flexible from day to day maintenance on houses and gardens upto more specialised work such as furniture restoration
and constructing re-enactment joinery and woodwork (new page with pictures to follow). On top of that I have various other abilities such as designing and decorating a bespoke child's bedroom with
a castle bookshelf/cupboard with painted Princess, birds and flowers (see pictures

for detail). Not quite the cistine chapel but my daughter loves it, however, she now wants it
changing in a few years time to a moshi monster bedroom. Any enquires or free quotes please message me. Please like my page.

Thanks to anyone who looks at my page but to save anyone sending a wasted email I must point out that I live in chasetown which is in south Staffordshire . This was prompted by a couple of enquiries from wakefield this week which I'm afraid is well outside the area I cover.

Construction of built in wardrobes

06/02/2014

Well it's been a year to the day that I have been self-employed (thanks to the wife for pointing that out). I have spent today grouting some floor tiles and putting up floating shelves.

It all seems to be suiting me. We have enough coming in to pay the bills, maybe not as much as before but I'm not sitting in a transit van for 4 hours a day, definitely, less is more.

Thanks to any customers reading this for your continued support throughout the year and look forward to existing and new customers.

Thanks also to the wife for her dedicated trawling through the paperwork to keep the government happy and also maintaining this page.

Thanks everybody!

This is a canopy I made and put up recently in Lichfield. Sorry no pictures of the original as it fell down when a climber was trimmed by the owner. The owner wanted something not "too fancy" and in keeping with the surroundings. Therefore, it was a relatively simple construction with waney edge boards filling in the gable and small panels for the bottom. Main posts were treated 4 x 4's with applied chamfers and the roof was match boarding visible from underneath. The roof was felted and weathered using cement flaunches rather than flashing to keep it in character with the other surrounding properties. Finish was in a satin dulux weather shield.
