Countryside Stewardship Capital Grants are expected to return in spring 2027, providing funding towards environmental improvements on farms and rural land.

🌳 Have newly planted trees suffered due to hot and dry weather?

The Extraordinary Payment for Restocking in Exceptional Circumstances (EPREC) provides funding towards replacing trees planted under eligible schemes, including the England Woodland Creation Offer (EWCO), where failure rates reached at least 25% due to hot and dry weather.

The offer applies to trees planted in 25/26 where a claim has already been submitted for the works. Agreement holders are responsible to cover the costs for first 15% of failures on the total number of trees planted, with the remaining % of failures covered by the EPREC grant.

👉 If you have recently established woodland that has suffered significant tree losses, speak to your adviser to understand what support may be available and whether your planting could be eligible.
