One of our lovely customers, Jean, has always been a very artistic and creative person, and expressing herself through arts and crafts has been a long standing interest of hers.

She particularly enjoys making cut outs and creative pieces from materials such as cardboard boxes , even cat food boxes, which she transforms into her own unique creations.

This activity is especially beneficial for Jean, as it keeps her hands occupied, provides meaningful stimulation, and gives her an enjoyable hobby to focus on.
Jean takes great pride in the things she makes and will often choose to give her creations to people she particularly likes, making these gifts a special way for her to show her appreciation and connection with others.

Jean’s creativity is an important part of her personality and is something she clearly enjoys and takes genuine pleasure in.

What a wonderful day spent visiting local community groups with our Regional Manager, Jo.

Leaflets in hand (just in case!), we set off to explore what’s happening across Oldham , meeting the incredible volunteers who run these groups and chatting with the lovely people who attend them.
There was no shortage of activities… and of course plenty of cake along the way.

We stopped in at several groups across Oldham, grabbed a quick lunch, then headed over to Uppermill where we were treated to a guided tour of the impressive Uppermill Civic Hall. What a venue.

A lot to reflect on, and we’re excited to stay connected, support these fantastic groups, and play our part in strengthening community links across the area.
