It’s been a bit quiet on here lately, but only because I’ve been busy putting quite a few misbehaving sewing machines back in their place over the past month 🧵

A big thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their machines so far — I really appreciate the support.

This weekend’s project is this Brother KH-950i knitting machine. I’ve got lots of ideas/projects in mind, so best get it up and running!

I’ve also been taking a few photos and videos along the way, so I’ll start sharing more soon. :)

👋 Hi, I’m Maddie — Welcome to the new Calne Sewing Machine Repair page.

I service, maintain, and repair domestic sewing machines. Keeping them running smoothly and saving them from being shoved in a cupboard (or worse, the tip).

I grew up around sewing and making, thanks to my mum, Diana of Malling Makes, who’s been a seamstress, dressmaker, and general crafty force all her life. That curiosity stuck, and these days I split my time between making things, learning skills, and taking machines apart — then getting them running smoothly again.

I focus on clear pricing, practical advice, and straightforward repairs. No unnecessary work or surprises!
