Spring budget
Chancellor Jeremy Hunt delivered his first budget prioritising the ‘Four Es’ Employment, Education, Enterprise, Everwhere!

So what’s changing
• Changes to pension rules and the introduction of “returnships” to encourage older workers to remain in work
• Increased childcare support for parents of pre-school age children starting April 2024
• Help to support people with long term illness and disabilities to remain in or return to work
• Increased pressure by the DWP on people who work part time and claim in-work benefits to increase their working hours

• NMW / SSP increases from April 2023

• Written terms relevant when deciding employment status - always take advice when engaging a contractor or consultant. You need written terms that set out the true relationship between the parties.
