Stress Awareness Month

April marks Stress Awareness month. The 2025 theme is which is to empower you to approve yourself and others with kindness, compassion and acceptance no matter the challenges you are facing. During this month you are encouraged to have open conversations to reduce the stigma surrounding stress and mental health.

Dardan Security are delighted to partner with Cambridgeshire Constabulary who are leading a focused training operation, around the CB1 Estate this week between the 13th - 17th January 2025.

This exciting initiative, aimed at enhancing community safety and fostering a safe and welcoming environment in the Central Business District, will involve an increased presence of uniformed and plain-clothed police officers, Dardan Security personnel and management. This collaboration involves Cambridge Constabulary, Dardan Security, Bidwells and Brookgate who are working together to demonstrate a continued commitment to the CB1 estate.

This month, as part of our office move, we are supporting The Turing Trust by donating our IT equipment to them.

The Turing Trust, founded by Alan Turing’s family, promotes technology-enabled education by refurbishing and donating IT equipment to schools in Africa, Asia, and the UK. They also focus on environmental sustainability through IT reuse, reducing electronic waste and saving carbon emissions.

🌟Dardan Security Celebrates New Contract with City College Norwich! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce a fantastic new partnership for Dardan Security with City College Norwich.This significant contract, which commenced on 2nd September, incorporates security services across four key sites: CCN, Norfolk House, Easton, and Paston.

Key details of the contract include:
➡️TUPE Transfer - Transfer of 13 staff members to Dardan Security, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of service.
➡️ Recruitment and on-boarding for 4 Relief Officers to provide additional resilience from day one.
➡️ Comprehensive Security Services - Our team will provide Security, Caretaking, Mobile and Patrol security, along with CCTV monitoring, tailored to the dynamic academic environment of CCN.
➡️ Leadership and Management - James Ross remains the Security Manager on-site, retaining his knowledge and delivering exceptional leadership to our officers. Our early L&D investment into James is underway, in a bid to build on his management skills and support his professional growth.
➡️ Successful Mobilisation - The contract's initiation has been marked by a successful mobilisation, highlighted by the support for our officers during the TUPE transition and recruitment of new colleagues. Our team demonstrated exceptional professionalism and flexibility during the process garnering positive client feedback.
➡️ Reward - Our new colleagues benefited from an increased pay rate upon a successful TUPE, in recognition of their commitment to excellence and acknowledgement of the step-change expected under Dardan’s operational delivery.
➡️ Operational Scale - The contract involves a substantial circa 700 weekly hours to meet the security needs of CCN.

Seare, a dedicated officer at the Royal College of Art's White City site, joined our team in May 2024, and we're proud to see his hard work recognised.

Providing valuable strategic advice and insight to Dardan since 2016, Guy is a Security, Risk & Resilience industry expert and thought leader, lecturing on the threat of Extremism and Insider Threat to heads of industry, academics, police forces, and government bodies, both in the UK and internationally.

He has recently left his role at Suntory after a decade of service leading their Corporate Risk, Security, Operations and Insurance portfolio.

Guy has directed counter-extremist operations for research and pharmaceutical organisations, most notably at Huntingdon Life Sciences, and been a corporate security advisor to GSK. He’s held reputable roles as chair of the UK Pharmaceutical Industry Security Forum, the Food & Drink Security Association, and The Security Commonwealth. In 2020, he was appointed to the Security Industry Authority’s strategic forum, working on the development of ideas around public protection.

Guy has been the Chair of the CSSC Eastern Region since 2017.
In 2024 Guy was co-opted to the Risk & Security Management Forum Council
