Just a heads up that we've recently migrated our results emails to a new system, so there's a chance that these may initially have gone into your spam folder. If you haven't received any results emails in the last week or two, please check your spam folder to see if they're lurking in there.

Also, if you signed up via PayPal rather than by standing order, we'd be really grateful if you could email your mobile number to us at [email protected]. This will help us contact you should you be a lucky winner!

Here at CUFC Lottery we were thrilled to be able to donate £250 to St Nicholas Hospice Care who cared for former Cambridge United Football Club player, Tom Youngs, in the latter stages of his life.

Tom, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2014, will be remembered as a gifted player who, with probing, darting runs, intelligent positioning and poise in front of goal, graced the Abbey Stadium between 1997 and 2003. He was a much-loved member of the CUFC family and will be sorely missed.

Having made our donation towards their valuable work, we were delighted to receive a letter of thanks from Jess Walmsley, Supporter Care Administrator, at St Nicholas Hospice Care.

We gave a warm welcome to Oliver King on Saturday as he presented the Lincoln matchball to the referee with his dad, Paul. Here at the CUFC Lottery we're indebted to Ian Darler whose Cambridge Charity Fund Raisers (CCFR) held a fishing event to benefit our cause.

Funds raised by the event enabled CCFR to purchase four annual memberships to support the CUFC Lottery, as we have been loyal supporters of CCFR for a number of years. The four lottery memberships provide CCFR with the chance of winning cash prizes via our Must Win Monday and Abbey Accumulator draws, which would then be used to help local charities.

The successful anglers on the day were as follows:

- Individual Winner: Tim Cooper with 204lb 11oz
- Runner-up: Dudley Seal with 141lb 12oz
- Third Place: Gary Chandler with 82lb 10oz
- Pairs: Tim Cooper and Dick Smith
- Pairs Runners-up: Gary Chandler and Ian Darler

We'd like to say a special thank you to all the anglers who took part, and of course to the generous sponsors for the event:

- A R Aspinall & Sons
- Cooper Trophies
- Herringbone Restoration Ltd
- Tesco Newmarket Road

We were also delighted to respond to a request from Steve Lynn, CUFC's Match Day Medical Co-Ordinator, to help with funding for two elevating beds and a defibrillator for the medical team. With the existing beds at a set height, patients were struggling to get onto them, so the two new beds will be so much better for the patient and the member of the medical staff treating them.

The defibrillator will be used for the Medical Room and out on the ground on match days, as the Club didn't have a unit before and had to rely on the companies covering on match days to bring their own.

'Once again we are so pleased that the CUFC Lottery was in a position to help,' commented Steve.

Our first two home league games have seen two lucky winners present the match ball to the referee prior to kick off.

First up against Crawley at a sun-soaked Abbey was Gregg Foster who was accompanied by his wife Tracey.

And our prize winner against Blackpool was Garry Wright who presented the match ball and then watched on as the U's staged a most remarkable comeback!

Congratulations to our two lucky winners! If you'd like to have a chance of winning a brilliant prize like this, please sign up here: www.cufclottery.co.uk/sign-up/.

We were thrilled to co-sponsor the brilliant Inspirational Young Stars Awards evening once again this year. Representing the Lottery, Carl Badcock and Philip Saich were proud to be in attendance with their wives to celebrate the incredible achievements of young people in and around Cambridge.

The Awards presentation evening was held in the Signature Suite at Cambridge United's Abbey Stadium on Friday evening. A total of 15 awards were presented to hugely deserving young people who had shown incredible vision, determination and creativity in undertaking fundraising and awareness-raising activities to improve the lives of people within their local community and the charities and causes that care for them.

The Team Charity Fund Raiser Award was co-sponsored by the CUFC Lottery and Cambridge United Football Club and was presented to Issy and Ellie Brennon who raised £300 for Cancer Research UK by running the Race for Life on 30 June 2024. Well done Issy and Ellie!
