Many incidents on construction sites don’t happen because security officers aren’t capable — they happen because staffing levels and site risk don’t always align operationally.
Large sites with:
• Multiple access points
• Plant/fuel storage
• Night deliveries
• Public-facing perimeters
can create major challenges for lone officers, especially during incidents requiring simultaneous observation, access control and escalation.
Technology, mobile response and CCTV all help — but they don’t always replace physical presence.
From an operational perspective, the right deployment should always reflect the site risk, layout, asset value and escalation requirements.
