Running a hotel? Water is probably costing you more than you think.
A medium-sized hotel with 100-200 rooms can spend anywhere between £20,000 and £50,000 a year on water alone. That's before you factor in leaks, inefficient laundry cycles, or showers running at 15-20 litres per minute when modern low-flow heads use less than half that.
The good news? A 10-20% reduction is achievable without touching the guest experience. Simple things like a linen reuse programme can cut laundry water use by up to 17%. Fitting tap aerators costs almost nothing and reduces flow by up to 50%.
We've put together a free Water Resilience Guide specifically for the hospitality sector. It covers where your water actually goes, the hidden drains most operators miss, and the quick wins you can act on this week.
