🎬A WINDRUSH MEMORY: Film & Portrait experience.

Tomorrow, we share A Windrush Memory a short film and digital portrait experience celebrating the stories, memories and journeys of the Windrush generation in Wales.
Through personal stories, family memories and reflections, the film gives a glimpse into the journeys that brought people and their families to Wales, and the lives they built here.

We are honoured to share these stories and to celebrate the people behind them.

Introducing Chêrie Arlett Founder of SC Collectif and the Director & Producer of A Windrush Memory.

A Windrush Memory is a short film and digital portrait experience created to celebrate the stories, memories and legacy of the Windrush generation in Wales.
ForChêrie, this project is particularly close to the heart. It is about creating space for stories to be heard, memories to be preserved and the people behind the Windrush generation to be seen, remembered and celebrated.

Through her work with SC Collectif and this project, Chêrie continues to use creativity, culture and storytelling to connect people and shine a light on voices and experiences that deserve to be heard.

A Windrush Memory premieres Thursday 10th September in partnership with MINISTRY OF LIFE EDUCATION

Meet Iconic, the man behind the music of A Windrush Memory 🎶

Personally managed by SC Collectif founder Cherie Arlett, Iconic is an artist with a sound and story of his own, and we’re proud to have him as part of this project.
He’s also got a brand new single out now, “1 Day at a Time”

A Windrush Memory will have an intimate screening with a very limited number of tickets for the public, enjoy live performances, Portrait displays & Caribbean food. Free ticket link in our bio.

Introducing Tom Wilkins | UK Photographer , the portrait photographer behind the striking portraits featured in A Windrush Memory: Film & Portrait Experience.

Tom is making waves as a documentary and portrait photographer, and we’re proud to have him as part of this special project. Through his photography, Tom has captured portraits that sit alongside the stories and memories shared throughout the documentary, forming an important part of the overall Film & Portrait Experience.

Selected portraits will be displayed at the event, with the full collection also forming part of the digital portrait gallery featured within the film.
We’re looking forward to sharing the finished project with you all at our upcoming screening.

Introducing , the videographer and editor behind A Windrush Memory: Film & Portrait Experience.

Charlie has filmed and edited the documentary, helping bring the stories at the heart of this project to life on screen.
He is also one of the talented creative professionals on the SC Collectif roster.
A Windrush Memory will be screened for the first time on Thursday 10th September at Lo Lounge, Cardiff Bay.
This is an intimate screening, with a limited number of tickets available to the public, and there are now only 10 tickets remaining.

We’re proud to have Vaxzein, one of the artists on the SC Collectif roster, involved in A Windrush Memory: Film & Portrait Experience as the spoken word narrator.

For this project, Vaxzein is stepping into another side of his creativity, exploring the world of film and using his voice to help bring these powerful stories together.
It’s always exciting to see our artists push beyond one discipline and explore new creative spaces. We’re looking forward to seeing this side of Vaxzein’s artistry come through in the film. 🎬❤️
