Two brilliant speakers at our meeting this morning! 👏

💙 Lisa from Cash for Kids South Coast, West Sussex & Salisbury told us about the amazing local support her team provides to children facing poverty, abuse, serious illness and mental health struggles — 14,500 children helped last Christmas! You can help by liking & sharing their socials, dropping a gift at Howdens Eastleigh or B&M, or volunteering.

🚨 Ali Pugh of AJP Training showed off her VR first aid kit, practising CPR in a virtual sitting room, alleyway or supermarket! Did you know less than a third of us feel confident giving CPR, even though it could save a life? Every business needs first aid cover by law, whatever the size.

📅 Save the date! Our next NCF networking session is in person over breakfast on Tuesday, 28th July at 8am - and small business owners in the local area are very welcome to join us.

Networking Chandlers Ford meets every fortnight to build genuine business referrals, swap experiences and connect with a friendly mix of small business owners. We operate a one-member-per-sector model, so if your line of business isn't already represented in our group, we'd love to have you along.

Our next business networking is online next Tuesday, 14th July, 8am. If you're a local small business looking to make local connections, why not join us?

NCF meets fortnightly to generate business referrals, share experiences - and maybe even to socialise a bit! Our members are a mix of smaller businesses offering a range of services to other businesses and individuals. We do operate a one member per business sector model: if you offer services in an area of business not covered by one of our members we would love to see you at our meetings.

We really should have remembered to take some photos before we dived in to it... but this was the remains of a really super afternoon tea at The Lakeside Cafe this afternoon 😋 🍰

A few members gathered for a relaxed afternoon, talking business, dogs and anything else. (And we now have the NCF summer BBQ planned.)

Small business support isn't always just about business - sometimes it's an excuse to take time away from business, too!

Lovely to see those who joined us - hope to see everyone else for networking breakfast on Tuesday.

This brilliant event starts in just a few hours! If you and your little people are at a loose end this evening, why not go along? You - and they - will love it!! 💃🕺👯‍♀️

My Parent and Child Discos are fast becoming my favourite events of the whole year! 🎉🕺💃
The next one is in the diary for Friday 8th May!

If you've never been before, let me paint you a picture: music that makes everyone want to move, a room full of laughter, children absolutely going for it on the dancefloor and parents rediscovering that they're actually rather good at this too.
Here's what I love most about these events. There's no performance pressure. No right or wrong way to do it. Just movement, music and joy - and that is genuinely one of the most powerful combinations there is for building a love of being active in children that lasts a lifetime.

Studies show that children who associate physical activity with fun and family are far more likely to stay active as they grow up. So yes, this is a disco but it's also quietly one of the best things you can do for your child's long-term health. Don't tell them though. Let them think it's just a brilliant party. 🎊
