My style of photography is natural unstaged imagery that captures the true spirit of your loved ones in an environment that is comfortable for them, whether that's in your own home or at a beautiful park. I’ll be joining some lovely local independent businesses at the ACANTEEN / ABAR Winter Market in Chelmsford this November!

Colour, black & white, or straight out of camera?
Same photograph, three very different feels.
I photographed my 13 year old daughter Eliza at home and thought this was a good one to show what actually happens between taking the photograph and delivering the finished image.
The last image is completely unedited, exactly as it came out of the camera.
I know which one I’d choose, but I’m curious… 1, 2 or 3?
And photographers, I’m interested to know what you’d do too 👀

Half an hour at Hylands Park, beautiful autumn colour, and absolutely no requirement for anyone to stand still and smile at me for 30 minutes 😂
These are relaxed family sessions designed to capture you as you actually are.

£175 includes a 30-minute session, a full edited gallery to choose from and your favourite 10 high-resolution digital images.

Well, this was rather lovely to receive. 🥰
When I photograph a business, getting great images is obviously the goal. But how people feel while I’m taking them matters just as much.
Most people aren’t naturally comfortable in front of a camera. They don’t need to be. Making the whole experience feel relaxed, enjoyable and effortless is very much part of my job.
So when Jakob, CEO of Broadlab, left me these kind words after photographing the team, I may have been just a little bit delighted. ❤️

Product photography hits a little differently when the products were made by your daughter. ❤️
These are the 2026 Christmas wreaths from Flowers by Izabel — designed and handmade by Izzy, who at 17 is somehow managing to grow her floristry business alongside studying for her A-levels.
And when I say handmade, I mean handmade. She starts with a wire frame, builds the moss base, then cuts and attaches every piece of fresh fir and eucalyptus before wiring in all the details you see here.
There are three designs this year, each with a corresponding table arrangement, plus garlands available too.
So yes, I was the product photographer for this one… but perhaps an ever so slightly biased one. 😂

I said what I said 😬😂

For me, family photography is at its best when there’s space to move, play, wander off, mess about and forget about the camera for a while.

Being outdoors gives me all of that. Beautiful light, gorgeous backdrops and, most importantly, families behaving like themselves rather than feeling like they have to pose for me.

Does that mean you can’t get gorgeous family photographs in a studio? Of course not.

But give me a field, some lovely light and a family being themselves any day. ❤️

Some traditions are too important to let go. 🥂😂

Today they go back to school.
They’re now 13 and 17.
And yes, I’m still putting up the bunting and cracking open the Prosecco.

Obviously I love them dearly.
Obviously I’ve loved having them home.
Obviously I’m absolutely delighted they’re going back. 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only mum feeling just a tiny bit excited today?
