New month.
New client.
A 3 hour session in their spare room.

They went from a 0/10 to a 7/10!

A shift like this is possible for you, too... even if you think it isn't!

All items reviewed, sorted into categories, and put into their respective homes.

I dropped off charity donations for them... helping take another task off their to-do list.

It all started with a free initial call to talk things through... are you ready to start your organising journey? If so, let's talk.

It isn't always about letting go of items....

Sometimes, you want to cherish sentimental items, and it is much better than them just sitting in a loft or a box.

A big thank you to Alison .by.alison
for doing just that for my daughter's first pointe shoes. Any dancer will tell you it is a special moment when you get your first pointe shoes and something she wants to keep.

You're able to personalise the items she makes, and she has lots of dance inspired gifts. She really went the extra mile to ensure it was just right, including a lovely note to Erin inside the package.

Not an ad, just sharing my experience and love the idea.

September- stress or success?

80% of New Year's Resolutions have been given up within a month, so be careful not to fall into the same trap this September.

Be careful of trying to change too much and focus on:

1 - what it is you want.
2 - why? What difference will it make to your life?
3 - How you will feel when you get it.

Small but consistent change is much more sustainable and increases your chances of success without the stress.

Watch out for the 'shoulds', which are usually a good indicator that it isn't something you truly want.

If getting your life organised is on your list, get in touch for a free initial call. I promise you that it doesn't have to be as stressful as it feels right now.

As we head back to school this week, remember to take it a day at a time.

Things will probably get lost, forgotten, or words said in haste.

Take it a day at a time and use the bumps along the way as information rather than failure.

Take a look at my back to school tips to help even more.

Nothing to see here....just a Professional Organiser doing a little happy dance as one more person feeling happier in their home!

I love helping people find a way through when it just feels too overwhelming and like nothing will help.

When I started with this client, her living room really was dragging her down. After 2 sessions, this was her message, and honestly, it fills my heart.

If your home is adding to the stress, let's have a chat as you'll be amazed at what is possible in a short space of time.

Whether it is home, life, or time organising... I'm here to help and offer a free initial call.

Today's tip to help with back to school is....

Create your very own Command Centre.

This is an area where you keep all of the key pieces of information such as :

πŸ“… timetable and after-school activities. I annotate each day with any special items, e.g., musical instruments.Β

🚸 class lists.

πŸ… as the term goes on, I like to add any awards they have been given or special pieces of work.

πŸ§’ a separate area for each child at their height.

πŸ‘ somewhere you can see it each day.

Personally, I use my kitchen door as I want us all to see as easy as possible. But if you don't like it, you could put it inside your kitchen cupboard door.Β

This encourages independence as the children can check for themselves and reduces the stress for everyone.

Back to school prep - day 4

- label everything.

- get things like pencil cases, PE bags packed. It's a great way to double-check that you have everything.

- get back into sleep routines and start moving bedtime earlier and getting up earlier, to help reduce tiredness the first few days back.

- plan some fun to finish the holidays.

Back to school prep - day 3

Time to go shopping!

- after day 1, you know the bits you need to buy. Get them now rather than last minute... especially things like shoes which often run out of shoe sizes.

- stock up on school friendly snacks, no nuts, etc. Also, those after-school snacks when they come home and raid the cupboard!

- time to get a water bottle that doesn't leak and let go of those ones that nobody ever uses taking up space in your cupboard!! Make sure things like lunch boxes and bottles are still 'the right ones' to avoid the day before. "I can't take THAT to school!

Back to school prep - Day 2

Today is all about getting to school.

- plan and practise your route. If your child will be going solo for the first time, you could do it together but let them lead the first time and build their confidence from there.

- if they are using public transport, make sure you both have the latest timetables downloaded.

- software like Life360 is especially great for those periods where you want to give your child more independence. Also useful for them to see where you are, if you are stuck in traffic.

- if you're driving, ensure you know drop-off points and any parking restrictions.
