Varroa treatment time. Then it’s just any additional feed depending on how much ivy they store and the season is nearly at an end…worst winter ever, pretty poor spring but a banger of a summer gave us the biggest harvest ever. Love it 🥰 🐝

How beautiful is this!

One of our customers recently bought some of our pure beeswax to seal and protect a bespoke oak chopping board for a friend celebrating 10 years in business.

A lot of hard work and elbow grease but this will be looking great for years to come!

Lovely break with Mrs Bee Yummy exploring Bronte country. A fab stay Brontë Birthplace, Thornton (Anna is just the BEST host, and the rooms are gorgeous!), visit to Brontë Parsonage Museum and finished off with a mooch around Shibden Hall - with a highlight being these Bee Boles (deffo trying this one day!)

Most common question when we host beekeeping experiences…?

Do you get stung much?

Not really. Mainly when it’s my fault, like nearly squashing a bee. Or deciding it’s a good idea to take honey off a hive just as you have the first downpour in two months…!

15 minutes later. Yes, I do get a reaction, but man the histamine shooting around my body makes me sleep well that night!

45 minutes later.

Two hours later. Just about gone.

Beekeeping as a corporate experience 🤩

What a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon hosting a group as a part of their corporate offsite. Learning new skills, understanding the similarities between the organisation and workings of a beehive with the insurance industry (who knew!), and finished with tasting honey directly from the hive. 🍯 🐝

Back from a gorgeous break in Italy 🇮🇹 and straight into our summer harvest. It’s looking like a record-breaking year for us with some really big hives and heaps of lovely Cotswold honey.

Given we lost 60% of our bees over winter, I’m super proud of where we’ve made it to.
