Out of office. On.

We are off on our family summer holiday tomorrow. 6 days in sunny Spain.

I am taking my laptop, and will be working a bit. But mostly I’m switching off, recharging and making some plans (I might even make a content plan!)

And, I’ve decided to delete Instagram and Facebook to avoid some scrolling and feeling like I should be posting.

So, see you on the other side my loves! When I’ll be 98% cava and pan con tomatoe.

July. The month I camped out in my client inboxes.

My biggest, busiest month so far.
6 months of Ever North and grateful for it all.

250+ emails sent for one client.
Hundreds more for other clients.

I’ve taken one inbox down from several thousand unread messages to just a couple of dozen to work through.

And got another enquiry inbox down from messages dating back to April, up to date to this month.

Plus, I saw one of my best friends for the first time in 10 years, I watched my little girl “graduate” from pre school, juggled two sports days, an assembly and a colour run. And managed my longest ever run. 18k ready for my half marathon in September.

There have been some sleepless nights. I’m learning I can’t just turn off my laptop and go to bed, because I’m too wired to sleep. There’s been some early starts, and a couple of wobbles along the way but I’m just so utterly grateful.

To my clients. Thank you, working with you is a dream.

Oh, and did I mention my biggest travel booking to date? Anyone else want a trip to Zante?

August looks to be another big month, with my brand refresh launching too (keep your eyes peeled) but first: sangria, sunshine and swimming pools!

Ready for a September of systems and structure? Ive got some space in my client list. Lets chat!

I just finished building a bespoke Holiday Request system for a client, all inside outlook - so no additional costs or apps!

The problem: My client was manually checking calendars and responding to request emails every time a staff member needed a day off. It was slow, prone to error, and a total focus-killer.

The Solution:
I built a Power Automate flow that:

✅ Scans the team calendar the second a request form is submitted.

✅ Calculates "Conflict Clashes" (telling the manager exactly how many people are already booked off).

✅ Handles the approval/rejection emails automatically.

✅ Syncs the approved dates to a master "Staff Holiday" calendar.

Now, she can approve or decline in one click, with all the data she needs right in front of her. No more calendar-hopping.

Giving my client time to focus on her business.

Could she have done this herself? Absolutely! But the time taken to research and figure it out takes her away from her important work.
