If you're heading into Chester city centre this week or enjoying a day out at the races, you'll notice an increased police presence.

With thousands of people expected to arrive in the city to visit Chester Races, additional patrols will be deployed across the next few days - this is to ensure the safety of members of the public and racegoers.

We're working in partnership with Chester Racecourse who are providing passive drugs dogs to be deployed in the city centre as part of the operation.

Dispersal orders will also be in place and the area covered by these orders is highlighted in the attached map.
