I love the film 9 to 5, although made back in 1980, it was funny, bold, and all about women standing up for themselves in the workplace.

A message that’s still so relevant today.

As women in business, we don’t necessarily have to accept someone else’s 9 to 5.

We can create our own.

Our own brand.
Our own way of working.
Our own priorities.
Our own definition of success.

Just like Dolly did, and to quote the lady herself:
“Find out who you are and do it on purpose” ✨

So today, a little tribute to Dolly.

Thank you for the music, the laughter, the inspiration, and for reminding us that sometimes the best thing we can do is write our own rules.

You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know!

I say this a lot because, when you’re running a business, it’s easy to get stuck doing things the way you’ve always done them.

You might not realise there’s an easier way.

You might not realise you could get help with something.

And you might not now even know what support would make the biggest difference to you.

Sometimes, you just need someone to look at what you’re doing from the outside and say “Have you thought about doing it this way instead?”

That’s where I come in.

Free digital marketing training for business owners based in Cheshire & Warrington

This is a fully funded 8-week digital marketing course open to business owners and their employees.

You complete it all online from the comfort of your office or home.

I completed this course myself last year, and although it’s one day per week for 8 weeks, there is flexibility if you can’t make one, and there are recordings of each session.

You essentially learn everything about digital marketing across all channels, including how to use AI to your advantage- it’s perfect for beginners as well as anyone who just needs a bit of a refresher.

When I went on it I knew about 80% of the content, but wasn’t necessarily doing it all, so it’s a great reminder of what you can and should be doing to market your business.

Something that’s got me thinking…

I had a conversation today about value pricing, and it made me look at the work I do from a slightly different perspective.

As business owners, we’re often looking at the cost of getting something done.

But perhaps the better question is: what is your time worth?

If you’re spending hours each week on admin, chasing things up, organising paperwork, managing your inbox or doing the tasks that keep falling to the bottom of your list, what could you be doing with that time instead?

More importantly… what could you be earning?

That’s where I come in.

My job is to take those time-consuming tasks off your plate, so you can get back to doing the things that actually grow your business - looking after clients, building relationships and converting more sales.

And when you look at it that way, the cost of having someone support you can become pretty negligible compared with the value of the time you get back.

It’s made me think differently about what I offer.

I’m not just taking tasks off a to-do list.

I’m giving business owners something they can’t get back - time. ⏰

I had an interesting conversation with a business owner yesterday.

What they said to me was “I feel busy all day, but I never seem to get to the important stuff."

And, I’m sure many business owners can relate to that.

One thing I highlighted is being busy isn't always the same as being productive.

Sometimes you're so caught up replying to emails, updating social media, dealing with admin that the bigger opportunities never get your attention.

The irony?

The things that grow your business are often the first things to get pushed aside.
