Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

I hope you are spending it the way you want, with the people you want.

That said, I know this isn’t always possible. I’m thinking of those who have loved ones who cannot be with them; especially those who have recently lost. I know how much it hurts.

As we head towards 2025, I am already reflecting on this year.

I’m not one to dwell on the “what ifs” or harder moments; I’m the kind of person to feel thankful for the good times, learn from the life lessons and look forward to the future.

The best is yet to come.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Jenny ❤️

Yesterday was World Mental Health Day 💚

I’ve posted a day late for a reason.

Although I love the idea of an awareness day, I also have mixed feelings about it.

Out of 365 days, there’s just ONE each year dedicated to mental health worldwide 🤯🤯🤯

A whole month would be more fitting.

Even then, I’d argue it wasn’t enough.

Mental health is a subject dear to many of our hearts (we’re all impacted at some point; whether it be directly or indirectly) and something we should ALWAYS be aware of…. All year round.

This includes checking in people you care about; especially those you haven’t heard from in a while, without judgement or assumptions.

That said… it starts with looking after YOU, which includes setting boundaries.

This is essential, so that you can be there for others.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝?

For me, it’s being aware of when things are starting to feel too much, and knowing when to step back from the “doing”… to enjoy more of the “being”.

We’re human BEINGS after all.

A walk often does the trick for me, as well as sharing with others and engaging in mindful activities that I enjoy. Less of the “Shoulds”.

And if you have a fast, busy brain (aka ADHD) like me… try planning something to look forward to in the moments you can’t switch off. This helps steer your mind away from the worry and overthinking spiral.

Think about what you can do for yourself, to help boost your overall wellbeing today and everyday of the year.

𝙄 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙄 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙…

My aim was to beat a high score of 2780.

Myself and a good friend (over from Spain) were in a secret bar. I bought a “high score” cocktail and, to my surprise and delight, I was handed a pinball machine too.

Cue instant excitement!

This took me back to my childhood.

The bartender said I could have 4 extra goes because of my “fun spirit”… the most enthusiastic he’d seen all night.

I could have taken offence but I chose not to.

Why?

Because I LOVE being younger at heart and don’t care what others think anyway. To me, it’s a compliment.

Years ago, I couldn’t have said that.

𝙎𝙤 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚’𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜…

A common trait that comes with ADHD is living by two time zones… “now” and “not now”.

Similarly, it’s living in two states of function… “on” or “off”.

🄾🄽 = Now.

🄾🄵🄵 = Not now.

This isn’t easy to navigate without the right strategies in place.

By contrast, those without ADHD tend to have a range of functions… between on and off, and between now, and not now.

Another way to think of it is that people without ADHD can change the volume between 1 and 10… stopping at any number.

ADHDers generally have a volume of 1 (demotivated / “off and not now”,), or a volume of 10, (“on and now”) with no stops in between… otherwise known as Hyper-focus - 𝙄𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬!

What this really means is that ADHDers can live in the moment for much longer, especially when it’s something they’re REALLY interested in.

And the reason why ADHDers may seem more youthful is that we love to be spontaneous. Which means spending more time in the land of “now” or “not now”.

This also means we’re more likely to be in a state of 🅗🅐🅟🅟🅘🅝🅔🅢🅢 when we’re in the “now” or “on” zone, which comes from curiosity, childlike wonder and a playful approach… 𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙛 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚.

That’s something very special.

Tapping into this energy (the right way) more often can have a huge impact on our lives.

Now imagine waking up and knowing 𝙃𝙊𝙒 to go from the frustration of feeling unmotivated… to feeling productive and ready to take on the world?

Curious?

Send me a DM to find out how 1:1 coaching (one slot left) or a place in my upcoming group membership “The Inner Happiness Hub” (rolling contract!) could help you…

𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙 - 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙙𝙚!

For ADHD awareness month, I’m unapologetically showing up as me. This comes after a 5 month break, where I re-aligned and focussed on what really mattered.

I’m not perfect and that’s ok.

It’s taken a lot of inner work to not only say this, but to really mean it.

4 years ago (yes, THAT year), I was a perfectionist, chronic people pleaser, and someone who held myself back for fear of judgement from others.

I used to be mild at times… bland almost.

I wanted to blend in and follow the crowd, so that I felt “liked” 🙄

Put simply, I was a pushover who didn’t like myself.

Once I ⓚⓝⓔⓦ it was time to change this, there was no going back.

And it just so happens that this lightbulb moment coincides with another one…

𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 (𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚) 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝘼𝘿𝙃𝘿 🤯🤯🤯

Once that light was switched on, there was no turning it off.

Whilst I’m not “wild” (although I used to step into this persona… would you believe I once danced on a table in Lanzarote??), what I will say is…

I’m NOT mild.

I am me.

𝕀 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖 𝕨𝕙𝕠 𝕀 𝕒𝕞 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕝𝕚𝕗𝕖 𝕀’𝕧𝕖 𝕔𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕕.

Over to you… dig deep and be honest, you can’t lie to yourself…

Do you…

↳ 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚?

↳ 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨?

↳ 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙛 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 & 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩? (always)

DO NOT read on if you answered Yes to all 4 questions…

If you didn’t, I want to reassure that there is a way you can answer YES to every question…. If you allow it.

So what’s the secret? Where’s the catch?
I
There isn’t one.

It takes courage, honesty, determination, commitment (to your self, which in turn is a huge commitment to those around you… trust me, they’ll benefit).

Above all, it takes a whole heap of…

𝙄𝙉𝙉𝙀𝙍 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙆

And yes, it will cost… I respect myself enough to know that I’m not giving my time or knowledge away. I’d never expect that from others and know that my c1ients wouldn’t ever expect it from me.

Curious?

Get in touch to see how I can help you fall in love with yourself (in the best possible way) and create the life of your dreams.

Ps. ADHD moments are common and last night was no different… I popped into Subway, and noticed a sticker that said “wild” on it. Curious, I asked what made a sub wild? Straight after the words left my mouth, I realised! 🙈

The guy behind the counter politely said…

“oh that’s a MILD sticker, we don’t make wild subs sorry” 🤣

Was I embarrassed? Absolutely not!

If anything, I made myself laugh! And laughter is one of my favourite things to do.

Ps. Did you see “mild” or “wild” when you first saw this image?

𝙄’𝙢 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙢𝙮 𝙧𝙤𝙘𝙠!

It’s been 5 months since I’ve consistently posted, which ties in with losing my older dog Meg back in May.

It floored me and I didn’t expect what came next.

I picked myself up and carried on physically, however it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions beneath the smile.

I’ve masked… a lot.

Which leads me nicely to the reason I’m posting today, and will do throughout October at regular intervals…

We are now in 𝔸𝔻ℍ𝔻 𝕒𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕖𝕟𝕖𝕤𝕤 𝕞𝕠𝕟𝕥𝕙.

As someone who was late diagnosed and has children with ADHD, it’s something very close to my heart.

I feel compelled to share my own story to help others.

Which is exactly why I proudly contributed towards an ADHD in adults book last year (published 2024).

This October, I’ll be sharing the highs, some lows, funny stories, plus hope and inspiration to help raise even more awareness about ADHD - something I’m proud to have, even if it is widely misunderstood.

𝘽𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙞𝙨𝙣’𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙡𝙚.

I’ve remained VERY quiet on here since May.

Disconnecting has felt liberating.

So has spending more time with family, whilst remaining successful in what I do; which is….

🄷🄴🄻🄿🄸🄽🄶 🄾🅃🄷🄴🅁🅂 🅂🅄🄲🄲🄴🄴🄳

I’ve been focussing on providing the best service to my existing 1-2-1 and group c1ients, whilst also developing ideas for the future.

Arguably there’s a need for visibility and consistency… when the time is right, with a strategy that fits around you.

Pausing and looking inwards makes a huge difference from time to time though.

Whilst there’s more to come from me, here’s something I’m thrilled to share right now.

For the past 3 months, I’ve coached Rosie at RDM Accountancy Services Ltd (successful accountant of over 10 years, with over 100 c1ients) once a week, with VIP messaging support.

After an initial chat, Rosie took her time (no pressure from me!), then decided to commit to 6 months business coaching support.

I’m so proud of her! 🥹 Not only is this incredible woman feeling more fulfilled and making more 💷… Rosie is on the path to a healthier work life balance….

With my unwavering support, Rosie is on a mission to work less, so that she spends more time with family, doing the things they love. Including a trip overseas this weekend!

This all translates to…

𝙈𝙊𝙍𝙀 𝙚𝙣𝙟𝙤𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙇𝙀𝙎𝙎 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨…. 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙨𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 💷

(yes, this is possible!)

You don’t have to work crazy long hours… it’s about working smarter and getting that all important support too (Hi 👋🏻).

This is what creating your own success really looks like.

↳ 𝙃𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 & 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚? 🤨

↳ 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙛𝙪𝙣 𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠? 🥱

There is a better way, once you know how!

If you’re looking for support that leads to growth, comment or send me a message.

As I’ve done for Rosie and other c1ients, I can help you…

🤩 Gain clarity in your business - let’s get a plan in place and work on this together!

🥰 Feel supported, motivated, less lonely (let’s face it, working for yourself can be!)

💷 Make more, whilst carving out more time for the people and things you love.

📲 Grow in confidence with your pr1cing, socials and business growth.

😎 Become more efficient (time and energy matters!)

💪🏻 Build bigger boundaries with c1ients… time to do things on your terms without the self-doubt.

Sound good?

You know what to do 😉

Due to existing commitments & a busy schedule, I have very limited availability (Thursday evening or Friday morning)… act quick if you’re curious 👀

I’d love nothing more than a chat over a cuppa and can now 0ffer a few slots next Saturday morning for this ☕️

I’ve been absent from socials lately, mainly because of how busy I’ve been which is never a bad thing!

I love supporting Rosie at RDM Accountancy Services Ltd as her Business Coach, on a 1-2-1 basis. Rosie is a dream to work with and it’s clear that she’s passionate about helping others.

Please do take a look at her page.

Rosie’s an expert in her field, friendly, down to earth, and goes above & beyond to take away the stress and hassle of all things accounting!

It's been a busy day here for me.

I had my coaching session with Jenny from Create Your Own Success - with Jenny Haslam.

Then filled in a form on behalf of a client providing some information requested by HMRC. Met a new client who dropped off some paperwork.

Then had a meeting with the lovely Karen from Let Stuff Go, the go to woman for de cluttering.

Finally picked up my son from his session at Hastings Community Hive.

Please drop me a message or give me a call to see if I can make your life easier by assisting with:

Bookkeeping
Payroll
Invoice chasing
Tax returns
Company Accounts
VAT and
Dealing with HMRC!

I’m not posting every day, chasing the likes or actively looking for new c1ients.

Instead, I’m having a strategic break, whilst I feel emotionally stuck.

I have to ride the waves of grief and choose to do this with hope, positivity and curiousity. It’s a fascinating journey.

Let’s get real for a minute though.

𝙀𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙬𝙚 𝙙𝙤.

I’m an empath, and know my emotions can be strong at times. I refuse to judge myself for this though.

Having ADHD and being peri-menopausal heightens these emotions. This can bring a lot of positives - alongside some struggles - if channelled the right way.

The whole point of this post is to normalise feeling this way, and to say that you aren’t alone if any of this resonates with you.

We all have moments in our life, career or business where we feel stuck or as though we need a bit of time out. And that’s ok.

Trust these feelings will pass.

⏸️ If at any point it feels like you’ve been stuck or paused for too long though, I’d suggest saving this post and messaging me directly… but only when you’re ready.

🗣️ We can chat about how I could help you. I don’t believe in the hard sell, so it really would be a friendly virtual chat over coffee.

🙌🏻 Coaching can help you to reconnect with your true self… to listen to your 2nd brain (your gut) and start taking baby steps towards positive changes that are right for you - not everyone else.

It’s the most underrated form of real self-care.

There needs to be more open conversations about life not being perfect too.

It’s how we handle the not-so-perfect moments that matter… which means not neglecting yourself.

How else can you be there for everyone else?

There’s a reason why airlines tell you to put your own oxygen mask on first.

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of launching my coaching business “Create Your Own Success”.

I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved.

I’ve learnt, grown, had fun, helped a lot of people, pivoted, and faced challenges with a smile on my face (ok, yes, sometimes I’ve masked - that’s the ADHD in me 😜).

There’s no denying it’s been lonely at times, although I have plans to change that one day. Being at home 24/7 isn’t for me long term.

In the future, I’ll be looking for a more hybrid approach with in-person interaction as well as online, which I do also love. Right now, it works for my largely Neurodivergent family.

I’m very thankful for all my c1ients.

I’m also thankful to everyone who has supported my posts, been (or is) a valued c1ient, taken an interest in what I do, or recommended me to others.

It means the absolute world.

I’d like to also give a special shoutout to Carly Cowell for the brand strategy expertise & amazing sisterly support, plus Jo Miller (it won’t let me tag 🙈) for the incredible tech VA support. I couldn’t have got to where I am now without you both!

Next month, I plan to celebrate my business milestone.

This month, I’m not ready to. Losing my dog wasn’t part of the plan, and it knocked the wind out of my sails. But I’m ok!

My focus is to be of service to my existing c1ients, whilst taking care of my family and myself.

I look to the future with my usual positivity.

I’m on my way back up but taking my time.

Watch this space.

A celebration is coming… didn’t you know a 13 month anniversary is all the rage? 😜
