There's still time to sow lots more wonderful veg as the season progresses. Succession sow crops such as carrots, lettuce, leafy herbs and beans to fuel the kitchen through the summer months – and avoid those gluts! πŸ₯•πŸ₯¬πŸ«›πŸ₯¦πŸŒΌ

The garden is buzzing with activity this month and flourishing with flowers and veg.
There is still time to sow many other wonderful varieties as the season progresses. Succession sow crops such as carrots, lettuce, leafy herbs and beans to fuel the kitchen through the summer months – and avoid those gluts!

Thinking ahead...
Recently, across most parts of the country we have seen very warm temperatures. As the weather forecast changes again it may be a good time to think about saving the rain water for the next dry spell. Our partners can help with solutions to save water with their range of water butts.

Pest & diseases patrol...

🌱Leaf spots, rusts and rose blackspot are rarely killer diseases; they just disfigure. Remove affected leaves, flowers and berries and put in the green waste bin for professional composting.

🌱Avoid sprays, even organic ones, as they also target the predators such as hoverflies, ladybirds and parasitic wasps. Squash large aphid colonies with your fingers – wear gloves if squeamish.
