Thinking ahead...
Recently, across most parts of the country we have seen very warm temperatures. As the weather forecast changes again it may be a good time to think about saving the rain water for the next dry spell. Our partners can help with solutions to save water with their range of water butts.
Pest & diseases patrol...
π±Leaf spots, rusts and rose blackspot are rarely killer diseases; they just disfigure. Remove affected leaves, flowers and berries and put in the green waste bin for professional composting.
π±Avoid sprays, even organic ones, as they also target the predators such as hoverflies, ladybirds and parasitic wasps. Squash large aphid colonies with your fingers β wear gloves if squeamish.
