Increased business rates are making running Clydebank Post Office a struggle.
As an independent business, we are not immune to the rising cost pressures that the UK high street continues to face, with business rates causing a significant strain.
Our customers rely on us for access to essential services, where we play a vital role in keeping our local community connected.
Alongside our fellow postmasters, this financial year business rates are expected to collectively cost post offices £43 million – with an additional ~600 of us being brought into paying business rates compared to FY23/24.
We are joining others across our network to ask the Government to provide targeted business rate relief to help us continue serving our local community.
