Lincoln and Grant formed a crucial, but very unusual, partnership during the American Civil War. Lincoln promoted Grant from general directly to commander of all Union armies, due to his blind faith in Grant's abilities, never even having met face-to-face. Grant’s exploits were key to the Union's eventual victory.

Another day, another tour! ⚓️🥃

DramHouse paid a visit to Titanic Distillers, based in the incredible Pump House at Thompson Dock, Belfast.

Johnny was a fantastic host for the experience, providing a detailed history of the building, the transformation, and the extensive process that goes into making their deep-flavoured whiskey.

Having just released a collector’s edition 7-year-old single malt, and also excelling in their vodka and stout departments, Titanic Distillers are showing no signs of stopping in their quest to bring a buzz to the Pump House again.

We would recommend the experience to everyone, it’s a tour of Titanic proportions 😉

The start of our outreach drive! 🔎🥃

DramHouse made the trip to McConnell’s Distillery at the weekend, set in the heart of Crumlin Road Gaol, Belfast.

The wonderful Sam took us on a tour of their impressive distillery setup, giving us an extensive history of the rise and fall of distilleries in Belfast and beyond along the way.

Fires, American prohibition and the rise of Scottish whisky led to the closure of McConnell’s in the 1930’s, but they are back and better than ever - their signature 5 Year Old blended whisky is worth making the trip to Belfast for alone.

Be sure to take the tour when you’re next in the city, and mention we were there😉
