🏴 A PROUD MOMENT FOR LLANDUDNO — AND FOR OUR TEAM 🏴
We’re incredibly proud to see Llandudno officially awarded Purple Flag status for 2026, recognising the town’s commitment to creating a safe, welcoming and vibrant evening and night-time economy.
For Guardian Protection Unit, this one means a lot.
For over 10 years, our teams have been providing security across late-night venues and events throughout Llandudno, helping to keep staff, customers, residents and visitors safe.
From supporting the town’s night-time economy to providing security at some of the fantastic events that bring thousands of people into Llandudno, we’re proud to have played our part in keeping our town safe and welcoming.
We’re also extremely proud to have been part of the Purple Flag Working Group, contributing our experience and knowledge of security within the town and supporting the work that has led to this fantastic achievement.
Llandudno is now the first destination in North Wales to achieve Purple Flag status and only the third in Wales, following Cardiff and Swansea. It also has the unique distinction of being the first Purple Flag destination in the world to include a pier.
This achievement is a testament to the businesses, venues, event organisers, staff, volunteers, emergency services and partner organisations who work together to make Llandudno a safe and enjoyable place both day and night.
After more than a decade of protecting venues, events and the people who enjoy our town, it’s a very proud moment for everyone at Guardian Protection Unit to have played a part in this achievement.
Congratulations, Llandudno! 👏🏴
