How quickly things can change in football…
Over the course of the last couple of weeks, HSG have experienced injuries, poor performances and plenty of soul-searching through reviewing game data and physical analysis.
Fast forward just two weeks, and what a difference we are seeing.
We are delighted to welcome Isaac Swansbury and Maddie Caulder back from injury, with both now back out on the grass and continuing their return to football.
A special mention must also go to Jack Bayley. Jack has made the huge step of moving away from home while completing his GCSEs, and has now established himself as a mainstay within the Wigan U18s squad. Most recently, Jack was part of the team that secured an excellent 1–0 victory against QPR.
Even more impressively, Jack has already featured in five U21 matches, all while being just 16 years old. His talent, attitude and determination continue to shine through, and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress he is making.
Secondly, a huge congratulations to Ben Nash on his outstanding Man of the Match performance in Saturday’s FA Cup match.
Through hard work, perseverance and a fantastic attitude, Ben has forced his way into the Banbury United first team and has been involved in every game so far this season. He has already played virtually 90 minutes in three matches — a fantastic achievement and a testament to the work he has put in.
Congratulations, Ben! 👏
At HSG, we are incredibly proud of all of our players. Their development, progress and success are at the heart of everything we do.
We will continue to go above and beyond in supporting each and every player on their journey, both on and off the pitch.
