— from the European shore, past a giant spoon-bird sculpture, through a lively waterfront square, and across to Kadıköy on the Asian side.

Vocab from today’s tour (swipe for the photos, then try these in a sentence 👇):
1️⃣ “waterfront” — the area right along the water
2️⃣ “sculpture” — a piece of art made by carving or shaping
3️⃣ “square” — an open public space in a city
4️⃣ “ferry” — a boat that carries passengers on a regular route

BESIKTAS AFTERNOON BY THE FERRY PORT.

Met up with old friends and new friends and had tea at the wonderful restaurant Sahil Rest Cafe by the ferry boats before heading off to the Dolmabache Saray museum to see my friend exhibit with 32 other female exhibitors.

In-Company English Classes: Finding Your True Level 💼

I recently held an informal, friendly workshop and demo class for a new corporate client! 💼 It was a fantastic opportunity to assess the real-world English levels of professionals in the workspace.

During the session, we mapped out key language differences, focusing on the transition from Present Simple routines to the Past Tense. 🔄

💡 My Top Advice for False Beginners:
If you are starting out, I highly recommend taking at least three months of lessons with a non-native teacher. Having someone explain grammar rules in your own language and provide translations is crucial at this stage. After building that foundational confidence, you are ready to transition to lessons with a native speaker! 🚀
