Had a really interesting week last week.
Monday β Writing Expert Witness reports for Housing Disrepair Claims. One tenant had a mouse infested flat and the other had dampness. Itβs amazing how cunning mice are, I have found mice who eat carpets, gnaw babies clothes, p**p in peoples beds and even help themselves to food left in ovens π. And how do I know where mice have been, because they leave their calling card π©. Later that day I received the great news that a client used my UK Entry Clearance Report Service to help secure a spouse visa for his wife. Congratulations Julide & Robert.
Tuesday β Spent the day in court in London defending my Expert Witness Report. When you write Expert Witness Reports, occasionally you have to defend them in court. This case involved a tenant suing their Housing Association over their mouse and rat infested flat. Ended up helping to negotiate an out of court settlement.
Wednesday - Writing Expert Witness reports for Housing Disrepair Claims. Another mouse infested flat and a landlord not carrying out repairs.
Thursday - A day in London carrying out inspections for Housing Disrepair Claims, both for damp and mould. While at Euston Station saw Mr C who kindly posed for a selfie.
Friday - A day in Nottingham. Started with a visit to check works I recommended in a Fire Risk Assessment for a Student Housing Complex. The rest of the day spent with Julia checking out places to eat in Nottingham City Centre.
The life of an Environmental Health Consultant & Surveyor is definitely interesting.
