We’re used to checking our vans, tools, machinery and equipment to make sure everything is running as it should.

But when did you last stop and check in with yourself?

As a construction business, we know how demanding the industry can be. Long days, physical work, deadlines, pressure and the constant demands of running a project can mean that looking after yourself gets pushed further down the list.

That’s why this month, we’re supporting Lighthouse Charity’s Personal MOT/NCT Month, a campaign that encourages everyone working in construction to take a little time to check in with their mental, physical and financial wellbeing.

At LMB Group, Lighthouse Charity is our chosen charity and one we’re proud to regularly support. Their work provides free and confidential wellbeing support to people working in construction and their families across the UK and Ireland.

So this is your reminder to check your own warning lights:

- How is your body feeling?
- How are you really feeling?
- Are your finances under control?
- Are you getting enough rest?
💙 When did you last properly switch off or check in with someone you care about?

You don’t have to fix everything at once. Sometimes it’s simply about noticing the warning light and doing something about it early.

And if something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait until you break down. Speak to someone. Ask for support.
