Have I told you I am travelling long haul in a couple of weeks for the first time since 2019. The e-guilt versus the love miles to see family is part of the never ending compromise to both living a complete life as well as pushing for a sustainable planetary future. When I checked the carbon footprint of my flight, it is pretty much the same as my annual personal carbon footprint - that's insane. The idea of loose and strict thinking allows both playfulness and discipline in moving towards solutions. The Design Council's double diamond approach also supports this way of walking towards a problem. It's a real skill to be able to play with ideas and then have the discipline to make them work.

Over the next 2 days I will be immersed in a Behaviour Change Masterclass run by University. The most consistent hurdle I come across is simply how to get all people more excited about, and moving towards our joint sustainable future - and so much of it comes down to how we think and then how we translate that into action. I am looking forward to learning more - it will affect me, it will affect my clients and it may affect my posts and the way I write........we shall see!

What is Social Enterprise? Why does it matter? What does it have to do with sustainability? So so much - there is a whole economy out there not looking to simply make profit first, but to create social impact, and help move towards a more fair and just society. Social Enterprise UK explains it really really well. In the UK, there are 100,000 organisations constributing £60 billion to the economy and employing 2 million people. Very very cool.
