Loved starting my morning with this article, accompanied by a refreshing brew. Congratulations to Taylor Swift—truly an inspiration and a fantastic role model for the younger generation. I couldn't help but notice how her insights resonate with the realities of everyday business life.

Just four more days of client work then I’m on holiday for 6 weeks! Yes you read that correctly.

Some of my clients have been asking how I can take off 6 weeks...
1. I trust my recruitment team to do their thing and do it well
2. I manage my own diary.
3. I set a rhythm of my work for example my coaching clients on certain days, my personal development on a set day, recruitment team day

The way I see it, my clients don’t want a meeting a couple weeks before Christmas they are busy doing their own thing! Most businesses close for 2 weeks at Christmas. First 2 weeks back in January everyone is getting back into flow.

Yes it means I’ll be back to back when I return but that’s the beauty of being your own boss yeah?

I won’t be completely switched off, I take the time to plan for next year, doing the numbers (which is out of my flow), emptying my inboxes of 000’s of junk emails in there, do all those tasks on my wish list that don’t get started never mind finished!

I have my pamper sessions booked, lunch with friends, Christmas shopping and a holiday in January two weeks on a beach! That’s when I’ll be switching off because every single one of us, whether a leader or employee deserves the downtime.

If you can’t take the holidays off, make sure you schedule your downtime and recharge!

Team Coccion Construction! Team dynamics are so important so today we did talent dynamic debriefs and explored how some tasks take longer to do and more energy. The biggest takeaways though was how we communicate with different profiles and energies. Who said work and training has to be boring 😂
