I would like to ask all of my friends to please take 15 minutes to watch this video where I interviewed Sara Grosvenor and Lindsey Websdale recently - both very lovely, local women who have both done so much for our community over the years.

Months ago, I posted something about how common it is these days for people to be in debt with their energy supplier - Lindsay commented that she was struggling to pay her bills due to her partner's serious illness, and Sara (being the absolute angel that she is 😇) got in touch - and to cut a long story short, is now fundraising to support Lindsay via her incredible event Halloween at Ashton Close.

Please, please watch and hear Lindsay's story; she served on the police force for many years before starting Weedon Wildlife and is one of life's true diamonds, who has hit rough times.

I would like to say a massive congratulations to Katy Stratford Savings-Lady - my friend, my mentor, my neighbour. She has qualified for an all inclusive holiday for her and her girls. She works so hard helping people save money on their everyday bills. She also works incredibly hard supporting people to earn a second income. Growing her business I am so proud of what you have achieved!

I spent a lovely hour with my new customers this morning, shared a coffee, a couple of cheeky biccies, cuddled their dog 🐶 & got to know them more while I helped them to check their phones were unlocked & obtain their PAC codes from Sky for their sims 📱

I checked that they’ve heard from openreach about their FTTP, which is being installed on Wednesday (12 days from the date of switching) 👍🏻

They’re both retired & were paying far too much for their bills, as is often the case with older people, sadly 😢

It’s this personal after care that really gives me the best job satisfaction…I am a real person, I’m not BT, I’m not EDF or British Gas…and I care so much about all of my customers 🥰

After faffing around trying to call Sky before resorting to the app, they were impressed that UW answered the phone on the 2nd ring 🙌⭐️

And for me? Not only have I helped them to save almost £2k, but I’ve made some lovely new friends along the way - and that’s why I love what I do 💜💜💜

Homemade lavender furniture polish

This tip saves a lot of money - I see loads of people buying the trendy, natural brands that keep springing up - but it’s so easy to make your own.

You can buy essential oils for £6-8 per bottle, whichever scents you like. One bottle makes 6-8 refills because you only need 20-30 drops per bottle made.

Use the water that’s pulled out of your clothes from the tumble dryer as it won’t go stale/yucky & lasts for ages.

The spray bottle cost £1 at the market ☺️

A slightly damp cloth and you’re good to go! 🥰

We are having THE BEST day at Monksmoor Park CE Primary School Christmas Fayre 🎄

The choir are currently singing a beautiful rendition of ‘12 Days of Christmas’ with lots of fantastic actions 🎵

So many parents have entered our free raffle to win £20k or have their mortgage paid for two years - good luck to you all 🍀

And lots of people have booked appointments for next week to save money off their bills AND raise money for the PTA 💰
