Shazz + Dwyer sneak peek
‘The coolest wedding couple I’ve ever seen!’ not my words, but my wife’s when she saw these photos, and I have to agree with her.
From their engagement session it was clear this was going to be a fantastic day, and it didn’t disappoint one bit! The guest list was a mixture of family and what I’d call the ‘alt-cool’ scene in Derry (I hope that’s the right way to describe them as that).
Shazz’s family are known to be musically talented and they took over the stage after the first dance to perform for the crowd, with Shazz taking the microphone till her dress burst, then coming back in her jeans to keep the session going 🙌
If you’ve seen their engagement photos we did, or indeed if you know Shazz, you’ll know she usually rocks a shaved head but she opted for a HAIRVIVI wig fitted by the unbelievably talented Olivia McVeigh
There’s not much shocks me on a wedding day this point but this transformation left me speechless for a second.
Congratulations once again to the happy couple, it was an honour to spend the day with you all.

☔️ What if it rains on your wedding day?

Here’s the thing… the rain doesn’t ruin your wedding day.

In fact, some of the most beautiful, romantic wedding photographs I’ve captured have happened in the rain. 🤍

Your wedding day isn’t about having perfect weather. It’s about the person you’re marrying, the people who love you, the laughter, the happy tears, the hugs, the dancing and all those little moments you’ll remember forever.

And if the heavens open? We’ll embrace it.

We’ll find beautiful light, duck under an archway, grab an umbrella, sneak outside for five minutes when the rain eases… and create photographs that feel like your day, rather than spending hours worrying about the forecast.

Because years from now, you won’t remember whether it rained at 2pm.

You’ll remember how you felt when you saw each other.

So if you’re planning a wedding in Northern Ireland and the forecast isn’t looking perfect, don’t panic. ☔️

Your only job on your wedding day is to have a bloody good time. ❤️

You don’t need to worry about whether you’ve remembered every photograph.

You don’t need to know how to pose.

You don’t need to spend half the day standing in a field while someone shouts, “Just one more!”

That’s our job.

We’ll help organise the important group shots, give you some gentle direction for your portraits and keep things moving without taking over your day.

Then we’ll disappear into the background and photograph everything else as it happens.

And before the wedding?

We’ll get together for your complimentary engagement shoot.

We’ll have a laugh, get you comfortable in front of the camera and get to know each other.

So when the big day comes, we’re not strangers turning up with cameras.

We’re the photographers you’ve already spent some time with — and hopefully by then, it feels a bit more like having a couple of friends there with cameras.

One week ago today .94 and William tied the knot in the fabulous St Columb’s cathedral in the heart of L’Derry in what for their guests will no doubt be something they’re talking about for a long, long time to come!
We covered photo and video for the celebrations, and it was a little less straightforward than a ‘normal’ wedding (if there is such a thing) with the majority of the guests there thinking they were going to a baptism rather than a wedding. So we had to be as discreet as possible setting up to try and avoid rousing too many suspicions…which is easier said than done with two photographers and multiple cameras in play.

How beautiful a wedding was this 😍 the dress, the flowers, the setting, even the weather held out for us and everything came together for a fabulous day.
The old school house at the Ulster American Folk Park was the setting for the ceremony and it set the scene perfectly bringing their nearest and dearest together in a small intimate setting, before moving into the heart of Omagh and Hotel Rue to continue the celebrations.
Congratulations again, and wishing you many more happy years together ❤️

When is a baptism not a baptism? When it’s a surprise wedding!
Emma and William managed to get 70 or so of their nearest and dearest together in St Columb’s Cathedral for what they thought was their youngest daughter’s baptism, but they’d quietly arranged to get married at the same time. And by the number of people I overheard saying how shocked they were the cat was well and truly in the bag till the moment it was revealed via a message recorded by 4 year old Maisie which was played over the speakers as mum Emma was getting out of the wedding car in full-on bride mode.
A lot of the guests made the trip over from Scotland so they definitely got value for money for their efforts to be there.
It was far from what we’d consider a ‘normal’ wedding in some ways, but it added to the occasiona and excitement for sure.
Congratulations again Mr and Mrs Carson, you pulled off an absolute blinder and we loved being a part of it. I guess now we can tell people that your family shoot at the beach was technically an engagement shoot 👀😂

🍂 📸AUTUMN FAMILY MINI SESSIONS📸 🍂

The seasons have definitely changed, which means it’s time for our annual autumn family sessions!

These are always some of our favourite sessions of the year, and as always we’ll be bringing a relaxed and fun vibe to help get the best possible photos of your family.
Think gentle prompts and games, with some more posed shots peppered throughout. We want genuine smiles and interactions that make your family look like, well, your family the way you know them and will remember them.

Each session is 20 minutes long, which we’ve found to be the perfect length…just long enough that even young kids don’t lose interest while being long enough to get all those shots you’ll love. Sessions are priced at £40 which includes 4 high resolution, hand edited images to download and keep with the option of upgrading to the full gallery for an extra £40.
