The Polypipe Building Products technical team has played host to Kimbo Betty, Damon Blakemore and Andrew Johnson this week as part of some further training.

Damon took the team through the 'Hydronics Unlocked' course from Warmur Academy which will allow the team to better understand hydronics when designing heating system which include underfloor heating.

Thank you to the guys for delivering the training. Who knew flow rates, pipe sizing and pump speeds could be so much fun? 🤝

Today, our PolyPlumb® Enhanced Ambassador Livvi Hodges is at College of West Anglia for an inspiring STEM event.Giving local schoolgirls a hands-on taster in construction and engineering! 👩‍🔧📚

With four schools attending, Livvi is leading a practical session utilising our PolyMax® plastic plumbing system.

Working in small groups, the students are putting their skills to the test with a fun ladder frame challenge. Using technical worksheets, pipe cutters, and fittings to compete for the winning title... and a prize! 🏆

We love to see such enthusiasm for plumbing and the trades!

Supporting and developing the next generation of groundworkers is at the heart of what we do at Polypipe Building Products 🏗️👷‍♂️

We recently teamed up with OTE Construction Training Centre in Hull, a fantastic 12,000 sq. ft. facility dedicated to helping young people from all backgrounds build confidence and gain real-world qualifications for a career in construction.

Here is how we're working together to bridge the skills gap:

👀 Who: Polypipe Building Products x OTE Construction Training Centre.

🤷 What: We supplied a range of our Below Ground pipe and fittings to give trainees hands-on experience with the exact, industry-leading products they’ll utilise on live sites.

🤔 Why: Practical, real-world training ensures future tradespeople step onto site job-ready, confident, and equipped with best practices from day one.
