There are a few choices when it comes to in-forest refuelling…⛽️
You’ll see pickup-mounted transfer tanks, towable bowsers and static tanks positioned at the loading point. Then there are purpose-built grab tanks that can be carried directly onto site.
That’s where our G-TANK and Site Tanks come into their own.
The G-TANK is a 950L UN ADR approved bunded tank, meaning it can be transported legally on the road and then lifted into the site by forwarder or harvester crane.
The Site Tank is available in 850L, 1150L, NS 1525L, offering higher on-site capacity where road transport approval isn’t the primary requirement.
Compared to most pickup-mounted tanks, these capacities allow multiple refuels before needing replenishment, reducing unnecessary fuel runs and keeping machines working.
Because they’re designed for mechanical handling, both tanks can be positioned exactly where the work is happening rather than being limited to vehicle access.
Construction matters too. Both use a polyethylene inner tank, avoiding internal rust and condensation contamination that can affect single steel tanks in damp forestry conditions.
Different sites need different setups.
When the work is deeper into the forest and efficiency matters, purpose-built forestry tanks make the most sense.
