This Easter Sunday, my heart is full.๐๐โ๏ธ
On Friday, my son Alex submitted his LLB dissertation at the University of Dundee , as part of his dual qualification in Scots and English law โ one step closer to graduation.
Four years of consistent, dedicated work. Pursuing a dual qualification means mastering two distinct legal systems simultaneously โ different principles, different traditions, different examinations. It is not the easier path, and that is precisely why it stands out.
And all of that while serving as President of the Law Society โ carrying real leadership responsibility alongside his studies.
As a founder and C-level strategic consultant, I know what it takes to perform under pressure while holding multiple responsibilities at once. Watching my son do exactly that makes me incredibly proud.
I had the privilege of proofreading his dissertation, which sits at the intersection of corporate law and governance. Serious, rigorous, impressive work.
And one small thing I only noticed today โ he is 21 years old, and his dissertation centres on Rule 21 of the UK Takeover Code and Company Act 2006. Sometimes life has a way of writing its own details. ๐
