This International Day of Marketing, we are reflecting on the powerhouse campaigns that have established SPAR Scotland as a true trailblazer in the convenience sector. At the heart of our strategy is a simple mission: giving back to the communities we serve while delivering industry-leading value.

Our recent Spin into Spring campaign exemplified this, rewarding shoppers with thousands of instant prizes and a life-changing £10,000 jackpot. We continue to champion affordability through our long-standing Value Deals, keeping everyday essentials like bread and milk at competitive price points. These initiatives are supported by a solid marketing mix, spanning in-store POS and radio to newspaper advertising and digital social coverage.

Beyond the daily shop, we are proud to lead the morning mission with our £3.49 Barista Bar and roll deal, a competitive offering backed by consistent audio advertising and more. We are also the only convenience retailer in Scotland to have a persistent presence on national television advertising. However, our impact extends far beyond the aisles. SPAR Scotland Launch Local Social Retail Media Capability Powered by SocioLocal

CJ Lang & Son Ltd, the wholesaler for SPAR Scotland, has partnered with SocioLocal to introduce a new local social retail media capability, enabling suppliers to reach shoppers through trusted local store social channels at scale.

The initiative enables supplier brands to activate campaigns across SPAR Scotland’s network of local store social media pages, combining organic local content with paid amplification to influence shoppers before they enter store.

Campaigns can run across Facebook and Google channels and be geographically targeted, helping brands align activity to promotions, seasonal moments, launches and wider media plans.

The launch forms part of SPAR Scotland’s continued investment in retail media and supplier value creation, helping brands connect with shoppers closer to the point of purchase whilst providing transparent campaign reporting and measurable performance insights.
