Chef/Cook

Our client is a care home for 30 adults with physical disabilities and a currently recruiting for Chef/Cook in Tunbridge Wells.

Salary: £11.25 up to £13.25per hour with enhancement

As a Chef/Cook you will play a key role in the preparation of meals, special events and functions, providing a high-quality kitchen service in a residential care home. Working within the constraints of the budget, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the kitchen and formal supervision of kitchen staff, delivering nutritionally balanced, varied and attractively presented meals.

You will:

Have experience working in a kitchen environment.
Work flexibly within rostered hours.
Have a DBS already or willing to obtain one.

A night enhancement of £1.50 per hour will apply from 8pm to 7am Monday – Sunday (this does not apply to sleep-ins). A weekend day enhancement of £2.00 per hour will be paid from 7am to 8pm, Saturday and Sunday.

We are currently recruiting for Warehouse Assistants to work Day/Nights at DPD's Depot in High Wycombe (HP10 9QY).

We have fantastic opportunities for hardworking, driven and flexible individuals to join our team. You will have a hands-on role, ensuring that all customers parcels are unloaded from vehicles, sorted through industry leading sortation equipment and sent back on their way for next day delivery across the Network.

The key responsibilities of this role are:
• To handle parcels within the specified parcel definition, either manually or mechanically as directed by the Shift Manager
• To use the available equipment to complete security checks
• To ensure that available equipment is in full working order and report any faults if required
• To monitor and prevent damage to goods and to inform a Shift Manager where damage is identified
• To monitor and prevent damage to vehicles and machinery and to inform a Shift Manager where damage is identified
• To implement the Health and Safety Policy, ensuring and maintaining a safe working environment at all times
• To implement the Security Policy ensuring and maintaining a secure passage of goods for the customer
• Carry out such other duties as may reasonably be requested by the Management or the Shift Manager

Job Specific

DPD depots operate 365 days a year and you will be required to work 5 night shifts a week so this could include some weekend working.

Part Time hours also available which are 30 Hours Per Week

Monitoring CCTV footage
Protecting and safeguarding the company assets
